Do they tell you which forest fire it burned up in?

These are private forests supposedly, and he’s in charge on management of them, hopefully he does a better job than the USFS(dale gribble inspired)
I’d love to get a tour of them one day, maybe some private access

It is surprising how well some pine trees grow in the desert. We bought our house 22 years ago and the second year after we moved in I picked up a leftover "living christmas tree" from Home Depot. It was maybe 3.5' tall, I planted it in the back yard and now it's over 40'.

I’ll never know why the Cypress is the Louisiana state tree when all the hell we have everywhere are billions and billions of pines.
I guess it’s because I’ve never met a person here that didn’t hate pine trees. Every other person you meet has had one or two fall through their home or a previous home during a hurricane.
I still have about a dozen I need to clear on my property in fact, before they get vertical enough to be able to reach the house if they go horizontal. They’re all 80-100ft tall around here, some taller.
Its not like their root systems are very impressive here, either. Ground is soft here, and literally always damp.
The funny thing is that people here, myself included, love to vacation in the mountains in Tennessee and other spots. Pine trees there look like any other, of course, but we are basically prejudice and go out of our way to enjoy and breathe the air around pine trees that are classy enough to live there, while we hate on and cut down those that live in the swamp.

The story behind Boomhauers voice is hilarious. A pissed off guy left a message on Judge’s answering machine:

Also, Hanks voice is actually done by Judge himself

    Good morning, back atcha!
Just finished my first cup of coffee and looking forward to starting the handle on your new knife!

To all my Tundra friends in AZ, Texas and the rest of the southwest, we are probably not going to get warmer than the low 70’s here today. I remember too many years of too many days working outside in Arizona summertime when we started before daylight and it was already about 100. I don’t miss that one little bit!
Love living in a little mountain valley in the coastal range of Oregon!

Picture me mowing and then clearing rooms of furniture for an upcoming bedroom carpet replacement this coming Saturday.
3 out of 4 bedrooms getting new carpet, the hardest part is clearing the closet floors...:eek2:

Oof. Rough. At least at work you get paid, right?

How's your back treating you today? New meds helping, or are you still deciding not to take them?

    I'm ok.
I haven't taken that new med yet, not sure if I'm going to.
My worse pain is in the AM, it tapers down as i get going, but always hurts.
We'll see what this imaging thing I'm getting tomorrow turns up.

Today mowed the front yard, the back yard is pretty much dead.
Got to put up light fixtures, AC registers, and stuff we took down for the painters.

I can understand the reluctance with the primary initial side effect being drowsiness. You're honey do list ain't got time for that drowsiness nonsense.

Overshare time: had those thoughts for as long as I can remember, and it sucks, at first. Then you just kinda get used to it and say "phuck that. I'm stickin' around outta spite." They're still there, but so long as you have resolve you can think whatever you want and not act on it. Prime example, you're out to dinner with your bride, nice place, good service, and the smokin' 23 year old server drops the pen. Bends over to pick it up. Sure, the 100% suicidal though of slappin' that ass pops into your head, but you know better. Oversimplification, yes, but the suck start a pistol thoughts can be handled the same way. Besides, gun oil tastes like shit. :notsure:

I took acutane as a young adult, and the possible side effects were astronomical! I definitely had some of them, which my mom then assumed I’d have all of them, one of which was suicidal tendencies. One day I was looking for a sweater or something in a closet and found all the guns bundled up in the corner, I asked why did you move all the guns there? Hahahaha she was soooo pissed I found them. I’m still here today…..

Oh, not gonna go anywhere. Just sharing because my experiences might help somebody else struggling know that you can get through it, or at the very least deal with it and still have good days! If nobody talks about a problem, it just stays a quiet and private issue. That's when it's dangerous.

For sure, much appreciated, and I liked the waitress reference.
Thankfully I feel like most of us are stronger hearted than most and can overcome mountains if it came to it. Thanks for the support!
