I have read the manual but just want to make sure that I have the internal brake control properly set. Can anyone give advice? I started out with a gain of 5 and now have it set at 6.5
The wheels do not lock up at city speeds when I use that sliding thing. What settings is everyone else using? Trailer weighs 4300 lbs. dry if that helps.

Hook up the load you want to tow. Get to a nice open gravel/dirt lot (doesn't lock/skid the same on pavement so harder to gauge IMO), set the gain in the middle, pop it in drive and roll up to about 5 MPH, and use ONLY the the brake controller to see how it pulls on you. If you barely feel it, bump up the setting. You should be able to lock it and slide on the gravel at like 5 MPH or less, but if you lock it at 20-30 you have to much gain on it. That's what has worked for me the best.
