Part identification

Hey guys, I am at the end of a rebuild and I have an extra heat shield that I can’t figure out where it goes. I think it was on the drivers side covering the wiring but it doesn’t seem to fit there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a part number stamped on either side?

@1lowlife I wasn't thinking about it but I knew that was an image site that I've seen before. There is a pic of a heat shield.

I didn't want to embarrass anyone, especially myself..

 

Looks kinda like the one on the driver side rear of engine that covers a little wire chase
It might go on over the header flange.

yes. It did come from the drivers side. I put long tube headers on, do you think I still need it? There is no part number on it.

 

Oh if you put long tubes on throw it in the trash, it doesn’t fit once headers are on, I think it used a mounting point on the old manifolds.

how did you extend the o2 sensors?

 

You have a different year than me, but this is where I got extension harness, I looked up what o2 sensors I had(front only needed one on the driver side) and emailed them for help of what harness I would need for front and rears

I think we agree that I don’t need it since I put long tube headers on. The only other issue the bolt on the back of the drivers side head that looks like it should hold something. I don’t have anything that attaches there.

Pretty sure he has 2 grounds going to the one bolt when the one with brown wires should go to that bolt that’s not got anything right now.
I may be wrong though. I don’t have the truck and won’t till Monday to check
