My Action Tracs were 1400 too. As far as tint goes it was a couple years ago but when did tint film cost become so volatile lol

I honestly think "ceramic tint" is complete bullshit. I've had tint for decades, when did regular window tint start not being sufficient? Just go to a reputable installer and it last longer than you own the car.

I have never had this happen on any vehicle I have owned and I've had a bunch, Im 40 next year, And I lived in texas heat my whole life prior to 2018. Ceramic is a snake oil buzzword these days.

Also, keep in mind that when you go down this rabbit hole, it can sometimes work both ways. My wife doesn’t really hassle me about the truck “upgrades” I make. However, she came home the other day and in conversation just happened to mention, “BTW, the daughter and I went shopping today and pretended we were rich” :eek2:

Well I'm 45 and I've had a butt ton of trucks. I can fully emphatically tell you that not all tint is the same....

Hahaha haha yep. Also buying the wife nice things PRIOR to throwing stuff on your truck helps too. That Louis Vuitton she's wanted that costs 4k and she never bought, good time to buy it lol

Guess I'm a in a different boat than all you gents with this whole wife let me buy truck parts stuff cause mine makes more than double what I do lol. I pay a lot of the bills but she handles the big stuff and it works for us.

If I want something for the truck I pay for it. I never ask lol

I do agree they're not all the same which is why I say the installer/supplier needs to a be a quality one which usually translates to doesn't also sell subwooffers amplifiers and car alarms lol but the ceramic thing just recently started being popular and I have had many succesfull tint jobs in the early 2000s before anyone ha heard of ceramic anything.

I tend to agree with you on ceramic coating. Seems like everyone is coating cars, guns, knives, cereal bowls.... it sure looks like a trendy hype. Ceramic tint is legit though.

Sufficient, yes. Ceramic just blocks heat better. That's it.

Yes, indeed…. Kate Spade goes a long way with the wife. Luckily, we live close to outlets so as I stop for coffee, “look honey, there’s a Kate Spade Outlet”

2 things i spend money on, my tundra and my mountain bike-both have expensive upgrades, best advice my "friends" gave me, better to ask for forgiveness than permission. fkkn get the stuff done. besides if she gets mad at u, its not so bad in ur full accessorized truck.

Almost forgot! There is 1 very important item missing from your list; quality skid plates. However, be sure you phrase this properly when presentimg the idea to wifey. They are "catalytic converter guards" to keep thieves from stealing them. Be sure to play up the 6+ months some on here have been waiting for parts and being without their truck. My wife was almost enthusiastic when I bought skids for BOTH the 4R and Tundra with this method.

Mercy, this is hilarious and sounds exactly how I would typically bring something of want up to her, forgot under body stuff… We’ll see how this goes!
Yew rite! We did get a great deal on it a few years ago but it still cost more than this truck. Haa
I’ve got the loaded SR5 coming and really the only thing I personally don’t like are the wheels. Definitely gone through Toyota truck builder online and I’ve probably configured these Tundras in just about every way possible. Wish this truck came with the limited off-road wheels!

debadged, diamondback, window tint, dirty deeds exhaust.
OR you could go with the AMP power steps and get the switch that comes as an accessory so you can lock them in the down position.
