I've got you guys all beat. Check out this monster trailer I'm towing every weekend. I'm almost positive it's over the towing capacity!

In all seriousness after you do so much to a kayak it doesn't make sense to load it on the back of a truck or roof rack without it being a major hassle. Plus when the kayaks 130+lbs and you've been doing it for 10 years your back tends to not be happy with you. It's SO much easier just to back down a ramp and slide it off. Plus it's nice to not have back pain for a week after going fishing!

pinning it to win it. lol.

nah we got an F250 to tow it now but not to say the tundra couldn't handle it. Fox 2.5's all around with a 2.0 bump kit and custom deavers. Didn't have any problems. Just couldn't handle the MPG's on the tundra.

LOL, I was about to start looking at 30fts to tow with the Tundra. I dont know if a 25ft is enough for a family of 5.

Uh, I don't see weight distribution hitch. You definitely look squatted from that tongue weight.

30' International max trailer capacity 8,800 lbs and tongue weight 898 lbs with batteries and propane.
My Crewmax would only allow me to have 400lbs of passenger and cargo on top of that.
Well....minus the Retrax, UpTop Overland rack, two Kayaks, two bikes. Two people. Nevermind I am over already!

That is why I opted for the 23FB

How does it tow? Looking to get a 25RB Flying Cloud. Any mods needed to the truck before purchasing?

Tows like a dream... Real stable... I try to keep it at 65 but sometimes find myself over 70 and need to slow a bit. Tundra wants to run.

I would recommend the TRD Rear Sway bar and get a weight distributing hitch. Other than that happy camping.

I’ve been towing a 28’ International with a 980lb tongue weight for 7 years now. I upgraded to “E” rated tires, added a rear sway bar & upgraded shocks to Bilsteins. I have a family of four, dog & also have a cap on the truck. Have pulled this rig all over the country. I don’t go over 65mph & am very pleased with the set up. Probably have over 35K towing & it has not blown up yet!

Love my Feel Free 11.5 but just haul it in my bed. How do you like the pedal drive and electric motor? It is a bitch to load on a steep ramp. Does the pedal drive remove easily?

It is a bitch to load! I keep the pedals on 95% of the time. But when I do need to remove them it's not too bad. The pedals are heavy and they're a little awkward to take out but man those pedals make it a completely different kayak! The motors great but if you don't have to make really Ling runs you'll be fine without it. Here's a video FeelFree made with me that might have a little more details about it.

Nice, I've been debating the pedal drive. I fish shallow rivers for smalls quite a bit where I couldn't use the drive system so I want something easy to install and remove. Also remove to load. Thanks for the reply.

I recently towed up an 8 mile grade with a Improved Racing transmission cooler,
Stock Toyota thermostat, hard lines and mounting hardware that I installed about a year ago.
I finally got a ScangaugeII a couple weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with the results.

Cruise control was set to 65 mph with tow/haul on.
Engine ran mostly in 4th gear at 4200rpms during the last 2-3 miles of the hill.

The ambient temp was 88-94 degrees
and the trailer weight was 6200lbs.
Truck was unloaded save a full tank of gas.

My Scangauge II topped out at 208deg at crest of hill.

Around town driving with no load/trailer and ambient temps running at 95-102deg the highest transmission temp reached has been 192deg, with average trans temps at 185-190.

I’ve been running AMSOIL in engine, transmission, steering and front and rear diffs.
Truck just turned over 36k miles.

I installed ATF cooler this weekend. Took the GeoPro out for a test run. Transmission temps dropped a good 30 deg F.

I also decided to upgrade to tow mirrors. Not that happy about it, as I don't care for the look of them, but my standard mirrors are just barely adequate, and at times they don't reach out enough. I ordered some Boost Auto mirrors and I'm looking forward to getting them on and trying them out.

Not that difficult if you have another set of hands and the right tools. The YouTube video is pretty easy to follow. I did it with my brother in law because he has a lot of experience installing aftermarket parts on vehicles.

Yes very nice rig. Looking at another TT but the guy just called me and said $10k off all Lances as the ‘23 are en route (still about $50k for the 2185 model) We really like the Lance 2445 too but I think it pushes the limits of my truck my knuckles and my wallet!!

Can’t go wrong with the Lances. 22 they finally upgraded the interior and it was well worth the wait and money. I went with a 1985 cause it fits perfect in my driveway and I can pretty much camp/Tow anywhere
