I might use the switch you provide for the vim and hoping to use the one I just tagged you in for the front and rear cam

This is the switch I wanted to use originally, but the 3rd gen toyota switch holes are too small.

Looks like 8 out of the 10 first round harnesses have been or will be delivered today! The other 2 indicate a Wednesday delivery because of the holiday.

I'm excited to see how these work out for y'all. You are the first FRAC customers so be sure to let me know how everything works once you've got it installed. Also, let me know if you have any suggestions to make the instructions more user-friendly.

@TundraTex I might tackle this tonight.
To remove the panel where the switches install onto, do I have to remove the console around the shift lever?

You don't have to, but it may make it easier to get a good grip on the lower aux panel. I usually put a thumb in the power sockets - make sure the key is off!- and use a panel removal tool on the side. The lower aux panel and the climate control panel will usually come out together.

FRAC is complete and it's badass!!!
Thanks @TundraTex for building this and sharing it with us. Truly a plug and play solution. Works just like he says!

I took pictures during the install so I will share it later tonight.

I have been behind on this one. Will it work with my 2012 for a front cam?

@csuviper, the current design works on all 3rd gen Tundras. I need to investigate the connector configuration on the pre-2014 models. The same basic design will work, but I think I'll need a different interface connector for 2nd gen trucks. That's on my list after I revise the current design for better manufacturing efficiency.

@TundraTex I think your wires for the switches would be better if they were 6 inches longer. The way my harness is tucked doesn't give me much slack below.

Also since I had no blanks available (Platinum), I installed the switches under the ledge. With the connectors on, they don't clear so I had to solder the wires on. So anyone with no more blanks available keep that in mind.

Also @TundraTex my front/rear cam switch seems to be hard to switch. It works just takes a lot of pressure to use it. Do you have any websites you can share that has more switches that I could choose from and possibly be lower profile?

Besides those two minor issues it works flawless!!! You saved me a lot of $$$$ @TundraTex with the FRAC. I was going to get a new headunit just for a front camera option. This is much cleaner/OEM looking.

@BlueBottle, awesome installation and review. You're number 1!!! As in, literally the first FRAC customer to install the mod. Couldn't have asked for a better dude to fill that spot.

I'm glad the ledge installation idea worked out. I based the switch wire lengths on my installation but it's easy to add a little more slack so that suggestion will be incorporated in the next revision.

As for the switches, that's been probably the hardest part of figuring out this mod. It's very difficult to find small rocker switches like the one used for the cam select. I've reached out to a couple of manufacturers but haven't had a great response yet. I will add that to my "to do" list though.

Thanks again for the review. Great work!

My best estimate right now is August or September. I'm updating the design to improve fabrication efficiency. Once that is complete I will start production on round two and start taking orders. I'll add you to the list for notification when round 2 is available.

Thanks for your interest in the FRAC harness.
