Found a real kuul ancient native artifact yesterday. A bit worse for wear. I'm going to the actual Fort Garland on the 13th of August to have the pro's there tell me what I've found. I have a good eye for this stuff....I think it was used to frack someone up back in day...
Downside...I may not be able to keep it. Technically all native artifacts found here in Colorado need to be turned in. There are some 10K year old arrowheads found in San Lius Valley. Same as found in Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon....

I used to find a lot of stuff outside of Grover. I found a lot of arrow heads there. There is a lot of agate and obsidian around there.

This thread definitely helped me make up my mind. I placed a deposit today on a white pro 4x coming in at the beginning of August.

I’m going to hold onto my Tundra for a bit and make sure the Frontier can do everything I need it to do before I hopefully take advantage of the insane used car market.

Have definitely thought about doing the same thing. Could likely be completely car loan free if I did due to being able to sell the tundra for way more than I bought it for. But I'm just gonna pay the tundra off and keep it. Have too much into the build now. If it was more stock this move would be a no brainer. Look forward to pics of your new Frontier.

The reason I was seriously contemplating this is cuz I got my trailer back from my brother. He did some work on it. However I would have to buy a top and start over with a long bed Frontier in order to copy what I have now.
It's still something to think about

Spotted this quite nice Nissan Patrol yesterday. Belongs to an employee at my dealer. Just as bad ass as a LC. 400hp/423ft lbs torque. Built to last. Nissan has been making the Patrol since 1951. Datsun. 20220721_141634.jpg

Just ordered a TuwaPro Shiprock Headache Rack. Height adjustable. Lots of mounting points. Double powdercoat. Time to shop for some decent cube lights.....FYI....TuwaPro makes goodies for the 2nd and 2.5 gen Tundras. Taco's too...

I like that. I wish it would work with a diamondback, as I have to have a fairly secure bed cover for work. The diamondback headache rack options don’t give me the tingle.

My frontier should arrive in 2-3 weeks!

Can't wait to see your new Frontier. Do like I did, stay here and start an "other build" thread. Yeah, Tundra forum, but most active members here are kuul about it. I really am not into the "clubfrontier" forum. Gave it my best shot. Ad based forums suck.
Right @Bob ! I'm here to stay. I still have something to offer here regarding Tundras among other topics. Odd, but it is what it is!

I've been a KC fan since when I bought a set of HiLighters for my new at the time dogged out 1975 F-150 4X4....

Going on my TuwaPro headache rack to be pointed backwards..... KC C series 3 inch with flood beams. $166 plus tax for the pair. Not bad.

You weren’t kidding about the cf forum. Yeesh. Although they do have me a little concerned about the 22 cruise control downshifting behavior. Guess I’ll find out when the truck arrives.

Those kc hilites look good. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with their lights over the years. Looking forward to seeing your new sport bar with lights.

I’ll stick around, not like I’m selling my tundra just yet, anyways.

The adaptive cruise control has issues like everyone else's. I have regular cruise control. Works great. Not into the higher nanny trims. The ad based CF forum sucks bigtime! There's a Canuck Mod who thinks he's literally God. Full of whiners doesn't help. A dying forum until the 22 hit. Got a small bump. On it's last gasp. Now you know why I started another build thread here with my Frontier. On a Tundra forum....heh

AutoAnything. On sale plus 15% code off at the time. AutoAnything has some great discounts. Seems to change daily. Most products are usually able to apply the discount. I got a decent deal on the C3's. Nice set.

TuwaPro Headache Rack on! Quite beefy. Grade 8 hardware with nylock nuts which slowed things down a tad. Ha. I have it set to the lowest height so it won't block my 3rd brake light. Middle setting blocks it. Top setting clears the cab. Lots of mounting possibilities. At some point I'll change to the top setting once I get the rear Tuwa rack so I can load up my kayak. Will mount the KC C3's this weekend. In theory.......

Looks quite beefy! I wonder if their bed rack will work with a retrax….

Which bed mat are you using?

For a Frontier or Tundra? I would call TuwaPro. They have a few variations. Bed mat>>>> BedRug of course. Saved my old knees installing this headache rack.

Frontier. I’ll give them a call.

As for the bedrug, I was on their site and they don’t list a 2022 Frontier option for the classic, and the 2021 says it’s for beds with a drop-in liner, not a bare bed. Which one did you go with?

I went with the classic for the 21. I had to slightly trim out the rear corners at the tailgate and velcro'd it to my rubber Tundra bed mat that I kept off my 14. Works great.

Makes sense. I know that the ones they offer for a plastic bed liner are a lot thinner and don’t fill in the wide channels in the bare bed, but being on top of the tundra mat probably resolves this.

I suppose I could keep my oem tundra rubber bed mat and trim it down.

Mounted my WaterPORT to the TuwaPro headache rack today. I have enough space to add another......hmm...

Keep in mind....even though I have a Frontier, you can do this same setup with a Tundra 2007 and up. Should work on the 22's. Width and height adjustable. I highly recommend TuwaPro. Quality built. Welds and powdercoat impressive. 1st rate imho.

BTW....Taco sales are #1 of course but way down year over year after the 2nd quarter. Way down. Stale..... The new Frontier is a modest 2nd place. The Ranger is a very distant 5th. Canyon/Colorado take up the middle ground...yawning

I thought that I'd add some closeup pics of how my WaterPORT is connected to the headache rack crossbar. This can also been done on a RTT rack. I'm going to use a shorter lock. This one was handy....ha!

Had to modify the KC harness. Pre-test before final install. Spare Red Top comes in quite handy! Waiting for it to get dark.....monsoon close...damnit

The wife and I are getting closer to making a call to sell the trailer and buy a motorhome. If/when that happens the Tundra is gone and I'm looking for a midsize that we can tow. I really like the Frontier but my major concern is the transmission. We just haven't had good luck with Nissan transmissions.

It will probably come down to the Maverick, Tacoma and Frontier. The Maverick would be the best towable I presume. Glad you are enjoying your Frontier. Kinda wanted to reply to get this thread to get it on my watch list.

The transmission problems they have had have all been cvt not rear drive transmissions. The early frontiers didn't have a transmission problem as much as they had a radiator problem that caused transmission problems. I don't think the 9 speed is an issue.
