Is anyone running this box from Crutchfield? It has a single 10" and the dimensions look to fit based on TundraTex's box build.

It is 3-1/4" deep on top and 5-1/4" deep at the bottom. Only issue is it is taller at 13-1/2" whereas Tex's is 12". He measures the seat back angle at 17deg, which means another 1" might be too high at 3.25" thick.

    Maybe worth a try....

Right. I could for sure. But, if this fits without the headache, great. I don't have a table saw either.

JL Audio makes aStealth box that will fit. Not cheap though but JL makes great speakers.
    That's the route I'm taking.

I do have it. It's not the loud since it doesn't handle a lot of power. I'm getting old so it's perfect for me. Adds a little extra sound. It's a pretty tight fit but did go in.

Free and simple mod allows DC rear seat back to fold down allowing access to the space there. I'm storing several ammunition boxes, first aid equipment, fire extinguisher, bivvy bag, tarp,& more.
I'm not sure I attached the right link. If not, use the search function for "rear seat fold down mod ".

Not yet, going to do it when I pull the interior out to install the speakers, amps, LOC, sound deadener, wiring, etc.

Ok, so I received the sub described above from Crutchfield. It's nicely built and the carpet is an exact match to the black CM carpet in my truck (not that it matters much).

I started with the driver's side and while it went in, it needs to be in the middle to avoid the bar that stretches across the back of the larger, driver's side back seat. See pic.

Pushing to the middle was a good fit but there was some minimal interference with the actual sub on the seat fabric. Maybe not a big deal but would rather it not touch at all.

As I pulled the passenger side rear seat, I saw that it does not have the bar across the middle of the seat and that it is somewhat open in the seat back cavity. Hats good, but the jack bag is there. Easy enough to move to the driver's side.

So, with some trial and error, this sub fits well behind the passenger side back seat and snugged up against the jack bag mount. The box itself can slide left right once seats are installed, so while its tight, it's not impeded.

Went ahead and hooked up the 14g speaker wire and buttoned everything back up. I'll get back to the install in a few days.

Hmmm.. I'm not sure what you see as a vent. I looked it over and it is a sealed box as far as I can tell.

Ah, now I see what you're looking at. There is a lip all the way around the edge. It is indeed sealed.

Does the bottom of your back seat bolts to the floor and back wall or just the floor?
