Track your Tundra when in "F" status on the train

What area are you in? My truck has been at the rail since 6/29

 

A brief look at Google maps shows a decent sized rail car loading (auto rack) yard on the east side of the Toyota San Antonio plant. Big parking area with it, large enough to store plenty of trucks on QC hold. Might as well take care of the axle recall before they ship.

From there the line runs up to the Union Pacific yard in San Antonio for the cars to get classified into whatever train they need to be on next.

There are major bottlenecks these days in big yards, these will be places that have nearby interchanges for transshipment, loading unloading etc.

You can thank UP (and all the other big RR’s) for hacking and slashing their workforce to the point they have no operational flexibility or resilience. Pretty solid plan, the whole supply chain is really better for it….

 

Yikes - did all trucks get put on a QC hold?

Mine got put on QC hold too.

 

Mine arrived at Rail on 6/29. I am assuming mine has to be on hold. Ain’t no way it takes that long to be delivered to Philly. I am wondering if the Rail Car is in Newark or MD

 

@Bobby Z Does it show that it’s on a truck for delivery or still on rail?

 

My salesman/brother in law told me they had multiple put on hold today, but a couple weren't. Mine is one that wasn't put on hold for whatever reason thankfully.

Build date was 7/1 and it's a 4x4 limited 5.5ft with TRD OR if that helps at all with trying to figure what was and wasn't put on hold.

 

Is mine still at Rail? I know I’m gonna bet the truck will be here when I go away for vacation this weekend.

The curl method works good on some, but this one comes up with no response.

Then just open your file and look for Status, ETA, etc. I did learn once it hits "G" status, it should be a couple days out.

 

I was told by my salesperson and sales manager(my friend) that they already have a fix for the problem. That being said, technically shouldn’t take long, but then again with a lot of trucks effected, I’ve also learned my lesson no to get my hopes up.

Their notes didn’t show what the problem is but it was noted that they already have the fix to the issue. At least that’s what I was told

 

I am able to just paste https://api.rti.toyota.com/marketplace-inventory/vehicles/<VIN> in my browser and replace <VIN> with my VIN. I get a wall of text, but it looks just like the old guest dealer lookup method. I can see that mine is in F status and has an ETA of 7/11-7/16.
Now whether it will go on hold when it gets unloaded from the train is anyone's guess.

I wonder if they are correcting all the trucks with the platinum and 1794 door trims. I was seeing a bunch of people posting about their trucks having issues when opening the doors with the trims catching and breaking

For anyone wondering my car is a Limited 4x4 with the TRD off-road package. I was so hopeful my truck wasn’t gonna be affected. Kind of disappointed since I thought i dodged a billet with the last recall.

Yes. Mine is a hybrid and went on hold today.

 

Hmm. Maybe front axle issues or transfer case? Just throwing out some ideas. Not sure on the door cladding.
