When you do the blower you may want to look into the Figs Engineering Coolant Reservoir to replace the magnuson plastic tank which is prone to leaks where the hose connects. Also, the Radium Engineering catch cans are very high quality and a nice addition to a supercharged engine. If you do the catch can just get their pcv single can. I did the dual which included the crankcase can, but it's been bone dry for 25k miles. The pcv can works very well.

Oh the figs is 100% on the list of parts to order before install along with smaller pulley and pump. I’ve got the JLT catch can so all good there. Does your second can catch anything? Sorry just saw you said it’s bone dry lol. My old man has that setup and hasn’t seen a drop in the second can.

    Build Update 6/29/2022

Dropped the truck off for total chaos cam tab gussets, alignment and some extra brackets to be removed. I'll be having the blower installed week of July 11th and tuning done Friday evening if the timing works out. Parts en route for the blower upgrade are upgraded fuel pump (larger than provided by maggy), pulley puller, 2.30 griptec pulley from prospeed (hoping this ships soon). More to come!

Using the included tune to get it running then having a custom tune done from local tuner. If I don't like it I'll reach out to my buddy in Vegas who is the head tuner at dyno jet. From what I understand the canned tune from 2018 on for the Magnuson's was done by someone my pops knows. It runs well and stronger than other maggy blowers we've seen but we all know its much better to get a tune specific to the application.

Wow. Seeing this kind of awesome stuff makes me wish I had been wiser with money in my youth!:drool::drool:

Is it rude to ask how much you're into it on the LT setup?

I was lucky to come across the kit used and the owner happened to own a shop. So when I picked it up it was freshly redone from joints to shocks etc. Even still it's not cheap by any means. I'm about $15k in just for the LT kit. That's not including the glass, wheels, tires etc to support it.

I'm definitely into this build a ton less than the old mans TAV build. I even got a smoking deal on the blower saved about $2.5k over full retail. Can be done just patience and finding the deals lol.

    Build Update 7/2/22

Finally was able to hit some dirt. This week consisted of new alignment and cam tab gussets as well removing some un needed mounts in various locations.

Trail run was a ton of learning and feeling everything out. I can say that this thing is very wide for these narrow PNW trails. The Baja Boss M/T’s are outstanding. Couple notes- need to relocate the lower rear shock mounts for more clearance and dovetail cut the rear glass. Got some trail damage at full stuff but body shop can fix that fiberglass when it goes in for paint next month.

All in all it’s a blast!

    Build Update 7/4/22

After my first true shakedown run I found some items that needed to be updated. The rear king bump stop and mount is incorrect. This is intended for a spring over mid travel.

So that will be coming out. I just ordered the correct setup which now will have dirtkings rear lower shock mount with integrated bump pad and king 2.0 bump stop. This will move my rear shock slightly forward and inward all positives.

Next line of importance will be adding limit straps and clearancing the rear fenders. Keep an eye out for the king bumps and mounts for mid travel in the for sale section soon.

Also a new learning. For those that have clearance issues with the axle rubbing the coilover. I was having some rubbing. Turns out the diff drop kit needed to be removed. Apparently it rolls the diff and axles enough to make contact.

Dirtking parts arrived and they’re stout. Awesome packaging and customer service. Little more work than anticipated to install the bump stops.

Appointment set for the end of the month for the new lower shock axle mount. Blower install and tune next week. Unfortunately Prospeed is MIA with my smaller pulley so that will go on later.

Thanks! She's coming along. I may regear but going to see how this feels with the blower. If I do it would be to 4.88 and e lockers front and rear.

Interesting to hear you say that considering you run 37s and are getting SC'ed. I have a friend who has 35s with a Maggie and he was told by ProSpeed to not even bother with a re-gear

My wheel and tire combo is on the lighter side so that helps. It was light than the 35s and 18"s I was coming from.

There was someone talking about this subject too about having an SC and not regearing. Wouldn’t that create a weak link in your drive train though?

I don’t think so. Gearing isn’t that far off from what it would change to. 4.30 stock gear to 4.88 as an example. When you’re gearing you’re adding teeth so actually moving to less robust gear teeth. What you’re gaining is that power band back so slightly less strain on the drive train to work but the blower takes care of that.

All I know is what my experience is going from 4.30 to 5.29 on 35s and it's a kick in the pants. If I added an SC on top of that, well I think it would kick me all the way to the moon haha
