First of all the install is super fast. One cut and two bolts and the OEM muffler is out. OEM hangers didn’t fight me much like on some other vehicles I’ve played with the exhaust on. Within 30 minutes I had the old muffler off and Carven system installed.

I haven’t noticed any drone at any RPM’s yet, but I haven’t driven it at all highway speeds with cruise control and all yet to know for sure.

Sound wise I don’t find it’s overly loud. Cold start is a little loud, but at idle and most cruising speeds you can’t really hear it at all.
    I find it’s quite low/throaty for a V6. I’m pretty happy with it.

Not gonna lie that sounds better than most I've heard so far. I'd love to hear some more drive by or interior driving videos.

I’ll try to get more eventually.
It’s certainly not that V8 sound everyone misses, but I was quite surprised at how deep it still sounds for being a V6.

What we need are some good intakes and BOV's so we can combat the v8 noises with turbo noises. I've got some prototype VTA BOV's on the way. Hoping it'll give me some good psshhh noises.

Is that the Berger BOV kit?
The videos of that definitely give some nice psshhhh sounds if you’re into that.

It’s tough to get a decent sound from a V6. I think the Carven muffler does a nice job of getting the best from it.

My welded in Carven TR sounds exactly like this, understandably so, and I'm very pleased with it. It's hard to get decent in-cab videos that accurately give the sound, but I'll see if one of my kids can take a nice drive-by video for me or something if you can't.

Yeah I don’t really have any place I can think of right off that would be ideal to do some fly-by videos.

And my question is why not? Some people like to hear their engine and if OP likes it, then that’s all that matters. Compared to a straight pipe it’s still muffling the sound.

    It does muffle the sound.
Go cut your muffler and run none at all and let me know which is louder.
I mean, since we’re being smart asses and all.

To quote your message with another quote:
It's not your truck. I'm sometimes baffled by the arguments and silly comments that some people make because they can't scroll and move on without leaving their mark on something they don't like.

Why do you want your truck to sound like nothing?

Is it because it’s yours and that’s what you like? If so - whoa, that’s just crazy!

My exhaust wish will never be met by the new truck...nothing sounds as good as a deep throaty V8 rumble IMO.

But this is the best exhaust I've heard for what we have to work with.

for such a small engine (3.4) that sounds deeper than I would have thought.

not my cup of tea, but Im glad your happy with it and thats all that matters.

    3.5 ;)

But I agree. It’s difficult to get a good sound from a V6, but the Carven mufflers get the best out of it IMO.

Where do you get 3.4? My window sticker and the Toyota website both say 3.5L. Lol

It's 3,445 cm or...3.4 using normal rounding rules. Toyota rounding makes it 3.5. Idk but I'd guess they did it just to not sound like it's a smaller engine than Ford's 3.5L
