    Good Morning,
First time Owner and I am sure this has been beaten to death, but I used the forum search and shows me all these fancy Offroad bumpers. I am just looking to get rid of my front Chrome Bumper without spending a grand on a basic simple bumper.

    Current bumper
    [IMG]

    Kind of what I'd like:

I have heard painting Chrome isn't recommended, so just looking for simple bumper options.
I've googled and seems to only show fancy bumpers with tow hooks and ditch lights and winches and sensors and all the works. I also don't know anything about Bumper Covers but doesn't seem very permanent, but I am open to be taught if they are ok.

Your best option would be to get your bumper sprayed in Line-X Premium. I did that on my 2013. Let me look for the pics. I think you would be happy with it.

As long as this doesn't break the bank, I am definitely on board for this look!

Do all the prep work and it shouldn't cost much. I have a mobile guy I use and he charged me $100 to do mine when I had a stock setup

It was around $250 when I had it done. Call Line-X and send them the pic and they can give you a rough idea.

Definitely in my wheelhouse and I think it looks a little bit more durable than the basic painted look. She might be a pavement princess, but I like the look as well without going overboard

Thanks for the information. I wasn't sure if it was a special that had to be done by distributors in house or not.

Your truck looks great and I didn't even consider they could do the rear bumper as well. Thanks again! I found a Line-X shop right down the road and getting pricing now

That was my 2013. I have a 2020 now and have both bumpers, side steps, and flares all Line-Xed.

I might have to eventually take the fender flare route once I get my chrome removed. got the grill assembly on the way and going to look at a set of nerf bars today. I get the bumpers and the badges and I am set assuming I don't get divorced along the way...

This one is a popular choice too. I found mine on eBay sometime last year. Search for TRD front grille for the 2012 Tundra and see if you find anything on there

Thanks again for the information. I sent out quotes for Powdercoating and LineX and the powdercoating quoted me $50 a piece accidentally (His Wife Did apparently), so I couldn't pass that up.
Now if my grill assembly would come off of national backorder and some badges and headlights, I will be good to go!

Yeah I know. On a plus side, I bought a $35 black exhaust tip on extremeterrain and they are offering a $200 credit if I video the install, so that will pay for some basic black headlights and give me time to convince myself not to pay stupid amounts for the morimoto xb set

Seen a few threads about putting a 2.5 bumper on a second gen, just need a half inch or so of spacers. I may go that route if I can find a cheap used bumper.

I am having a lot of issues trying to locate the black emblem though. Sparks doesn't have it and I can't seem to find a part number for it. Just a bunch of overlays. I am going to try an overlay, then spray it if I don't like that look.

I thought the TRD Pro Grill came with the lettering??? Hopefully the below helps a bit... This is what i ordered for my truck, minus the qty 2 for the grill molding. You only need one, mine is a 2012.

While I agree your grill looks nicer, this one isn't a TRD Pro and was half the price and I am trying to do this on a budget. This is what was recommended to me and was color matched, so I pulled the trigger. I am satisfied with it!

Mine is 1G3 Magnetic Gray Metallic.

I am still figuring all this out, but when I googled for yours, I came across
    https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-front-grille-slate-metallic-1f9-531000c170b1
Granted it shows a blue grill in the photos, the description is for 1F9. I then took that part number and googled it and came up with this:

    https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/TOYOTA__/Grille-Front--Upper--Lower/3971935/531000C170B1.html
    Part number: 531000C170B1
The Only sucky thing is that Toyota Website doesn't list color codes on their parts which is dumb, so I would definitely send an email to verify this is in fact 1F9.

    Hope this helps
