Track your Tundra when in "F" status on the train

I’ve been wondering how/why/when trucks are listed and removed on the dealer sites.

 

I’ve found every dealer and their website to be different. Looking at the 4-5 dealers in and around Portland, most have up to 20 Tundras on their website, some of the websites will list the trucks as “in transit” of it’s not on their lot. If you call to ask what they have the response is usually that all the trucks on website are sold. My dealer here 80 miles east of Portland, only lists vehicles once they hit their lot. When I first put my deposit down and was looking at their site a few days later 2 Tundras popped up and I texted my sales person to see if they were available. He told me they are sold, and that when they receive a new vehicle it pops up on the website. Most are then off the website once the buyer picks it up. My truck arrived a few days ago but I can’t get into the dealer until Monday. My sales person told me they are getting tons of calls asking if it’s available because it’s been on their website for so long. ‍ I’ve noticed that every dealers website has similar info but their layouts and pages are different. Toyota probably has some control over what goes on the websites but don’t design them for the dealer.

 

Ya so the truck shows up on the website once it goes from allocated to built. Then it is removed from their site once it is loaded on to truck to be delivered. At least that is how my journey went. Lol

 

The dealership I use puts them on the website once they have been built, but by that point someone has already put a deposit on it since the salesmen know what's coming as soon as it's allocated.

 

Yup. Mine was reserved before it ever hit their website.

Do trucks ever get on the trains over the weekend or is it weekdays only?

 

I see yours is headed to a similar area.

Mine arrived at the port outside Albany NY middle of the night Friday. It's headed to western CT. Anyone have experience with that port to dealership timing? I'm guessing typically 3-6 days but could be as long as two weeks?

 

Mine was unloaded on the 6th and put on a truck yesterday. The dealership is 2 hours away. I imagine it will be there tomorrow when they are open and that I’ll be able to pick it up Tuesday or Wednesday. I’ll let everyone know how it went.

if the dealers website says it’s in transit does that mean it’s at port or just as it says “in transit”?

Mine was built the same day and on the rail on 6/9. But mine is still on the rail with no other ETA. And the rail tracking is non existent on the rail car assigned.

My dealer does not know where my truck is. Last heard it was off the rail and was suppose to get to dealer 4 days ago. Dealer has got 3 truck shipments since but not my truck….help

@Bobby Z if you get a chance to see if there is an update on my delivery? It was supposed to be on the ground last week after being in a QC hold. Salesman still says it’s showing a last week delivery window.
