    hi,

I’m puzzled. I just changed out my whole front suspension with new struts, upper and lower control arms, upper and lower ball joints and new rack and pinion. Then I had the truck aligned. The truck will pull left pretty good when you step on brakes the first time, each subsequent pump they grab good and tight and goes straight. So I’ve rebleed the brake fluid at least 4times, still same issue. Then suspected a collapsed hose, rebleed and still drivers side is grabbing hard. Then I suspect frozen calipers so I changed both of them on the front and rebleed them and yet the passenger side still pulls on the first initial push of the brake. Then push 2 and 3 really grabs good and is even braking on both sides with no more pull. Starts all over when the next time I need to brake. I’m am confused as to what else it could be. ABS block maybe? Any ideas?

Can you check your old pads and see if they had even wear? Also check your rears. You may have wheel cylinders or adjusters acting up.

Yes the seem to have worn evenly. I replaced the cylinders on the back brakes about a year ago. I rebleed those again this round and worked my way up to the front. Maybe I need to redo it again.?

No, they’re all new as I put those on at same time as the rack and pinion and control arms and ball joints. Just a mystery. I may change tire to the back and vice versa and see if that helps? Idk .

I hope this thread is still alive. I am having the same issue with my o3 tundra 4x4. I have changed out the calipers, pads brake lines and rebuilt the rear brakes as well. The only thing left that i can think of is the master cylinder. Does anyone have any idea on the resolution on this issue?

@larryr941 did you bleed the proportioning valve after all that?

Are you 100% sure you adjusted the rears correctly?

Have you tried applying and releasing the parking brake several times AFTER doing the work to settle in the rears?

I would expect a pull left or right would be the fronts, but the rear brakes seem to have a hell of a lot of influence on the overall breaking experience.

I'd go back through and re-check your work. Including re-adjusting the rears.

    It's good
Sure sounds like an air in the line problem.

I did not think about the proportioning valve. I will try that and go thru everything again. Will get back with you when i do that and give you an update.

    Some.
Jack the front of the truck up and have someone press the brakes as you feel the brake hose on the passenger side front brake. Rather than having a collapsed hose which is blocking flow, you probably have a weakened hose which is expanding/ballooning.
This will cause more braking on the driver side which causes the truck to pull to the left.

Well Guys, I just bled all four brake wheels and did not have any air in the lines. I have already changed out the brake lines at the front calipers. I have adjusted the proportioning valve and will check it out in the morning to see what happens. I will update at that time.
