It's Friday evening, sunny and hot as fuck out. Time to sit in the AC and drink cold beer.

 

Cold water for me. It hit 108 out on what's left of my rotten deck. A balmy 78 indoors because Joel don't like $800 energy bills. I crank it down to 73 while I sleep. Summer is a butt sucker.

 

Yep, Summer sucks. I keep it at 76 all day/night and have a fan next to the bed.

 

My old lady has the overhead fan going at Mach3 so it always dries out my mouth…….

 

Duct tape your mouth closed when you sleep.

 

78 on the first floor. 80 on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor is probably in the 90's because the mini split ain't working right. While I was destroying the deck, I figured out there wasn't any water coming out of the mini split condensate pipe. Worked on it a little today and I think the refrigerant is low. Kind of wondering if it was ever right because it never really cooled. AC guy should be out next week.

Anyways, my wife and daughter sleep on floor number 2 and I put it at 74 for them. As I said, it's 73 down here at night and I basically sleep on top of the sheets. I bought a cooling weighted blanket a few weeks ago and I lay under that. I'm a weird sleeper.

 

I used to turn on the fan so I could sleep (need the white noise because every damn thing wakes me up) but I'd wake up with dry eyes and a dry throat. I bought a little machine that has a fan in it and projects the noise - that's helped me a lot.

Kinda the same way, but lately my son has been grinding his teeth at night, holy guacamole that’s the most annoying noise in the world that wakes me up from a half awake state every time!!!!

 

I have one of those for when I travel. My neighborhood is quiet enough - though I do wake up at any noise.

 

I've got the $$$ Snooze. I was looking into the travel version because I sleep like shit in hotels.

Have my 4 year old granddaughter and 2 year old grandson over for the night. Taught my granddaughter how to catch fireflies, once she got past the fear of them she had a ball. Memory I will have forever!

 

Quick question for you guys, maybe should be a poll. I might have mentioned that our fridge is taking a shit on us and I just spent a fuck load on a new one, scheduled for delivery Wed.
We have been trying to use up food in the fridge and freezer rather than grocery shop and hope I can put what's left in the garage fridge until the new one comes down to temp. Anyways, I get home from work a bit ago and my wife is cleaning out the fridge. I asked her, WTF, are you trying to make it clean before it goes to the dump, or worried the delivery guys will give a shit about how clean the inside of it is before they haul it to the dump?

So, the question is this: Would your wife do the same stupid thing?

 

Definitely not, I’d have to tell mine the house was on fire before she realized it was……

 

If you slap them out of the air their little lights turn on and you can pick them off of the ground. We had a pretty violent Boy Scout troop.

 

We have a hard time keeping ours clean when it works.

No doubt. My wife would do the same. She will clean the entire house until it is spotless before we go on vacations. She says she wants it to look nice if we ever get in an accident. I can hear it now, “they were such a wonderful couple, and man do they ever keep their house clean!”

But I'm up in the air on this one. She's cleaned up the house and floor when we were about to have workers come through and destroy the floors. I'm leaning towards no since it's going to the dump....but it wouldn't surprise me too much if she said yes

 

Same idea but it's mainly my underwear. I like to make sure I have a fresh pair of boxer briefs on when we travel. The rest of the time, I just go Commando.
