In Hawaii your reg never goes down regardless of age of vehicle. So you have 500 dollar cars running around with 500 dollar a year registration. Thanks Hawaii.

Pretty sure my reg is close to 800 on my tundra now with the most recent raise in rates though I’m not sure it’s gone through yet.

 

Nobody that complains about Cali is complaining about the terrain, weather, etc. It's the people, who they choose to run it, and that their choices impact the rest of the nation purely because it's a popular place. I'd love to have beaches, mountains, fair weather, etc. but not at the price (not talking dollars) that Cali charges.

 

Exactly. I looked at the 10 day forecast for Chula Vista, and the warmest day was 82/80. The rest were in the 70s. Meanwhile my 10 day forecast is all over 100 and the overnight temps are hotter than Cali daytime temps

 

I love my Tundra so I baby it. I barely open it up so my milage is actually really good. But I managed to get 17mpg in city and 21mpg on the highway.

Someone else in 1st gen posted same w/2UZ, running stock sized tires. Keeping it around 2.2-2.5k steady on the interstate at 60ish mph resulted in like 20mpg.

 

Even with my bigger tires and all this extra weight I can still maintain 17mpg highway if I keep it around 55-60mph. 18 is my best. 20 seems crazy to me but might be possible with a lighter truck.

My truck is all stock with a topper. I kept my speed around 65 on cruise. Got 21 out of my 6 hour trip on one tank. It was awesome to see it so high!
