My dealer quoted $3145 for a 10yr 100k Platinum warranty. Double what has been floating around in this thread! Needless to say, I’m going to present the lower prices from these posts to see if he’ll match it. We’ve purchased five vehicles from this dealer over the years, three new and two used for my daughters, and before the pandemic always matched lowest prices from other dealers. If he doesn’t, he’s not getting the extended warranty sale.

 

my dealer in Northern California price matched the quote list here and sweetened it by $50 less.

 

I gave my dealer my number and he tried to play a few games with “including” the paint protection nonsense. Initially fell for it and bought the extended warranty at $2500 before coming to my senses, getting a refund, and going with the lowest price I found.

 

@TBS .... If you could also send me the warranty contacts information that would be great. I want the 10yr - 100K warranty and saving money will make the wife happy. Thanks!

@TBS My truck should be in this week. I would like some warranty information please.

 

My Dealership matched the pricing available herein. 10 year, 100K platinum, no deductible. They tried to push a 3rd party deal, to which I was advised by my buddy/mechanic to stick with the Toyota extended factory warranty.

Does anyone know if you already bought the platinum warranty, can you cancel within 30 days and buy the same warranty again elsewhere if it’s cheaper?

 

You can, but if the warranty was financed with the vehicle the refund will be a check made out to the lien holder. You'd be able to apply that towards the balance on the vehicle. The new warranty would need to be paid for outside of the loan via check, credit card, etc.
