The beauty of all that water and rainfall ! :)

The gators near my dad's place looked Ginormous as they relaxed on the bank while we motored by in our tiny little boat !

I resemble that place ! I ride past this spot on my bicycle every time I visit our Animal Care Facility to waste some water on their landscape.
My bit of community service is in helping to maintain the grounds at our ACF.

Not sure if the original is still there, but it's Carnitas Snack Shack... The sandwich was a 'triple threat' and had carnitas, pork schnitzel, and bacon as the triple portion of sandwich (in reality it was a bit much)!!! The original location (which is where that pic was from) was was on university between the 805 and 15 in the North Park Area; I did a quick map search for them, and it looks they may have moved or opened another location at the Embarcadero... Anyhow, food was incredible; apparently the chef was classically trained chef who didn't like all the upitty crap of high end dining, so he stepped away and opened this place. Food was real good!!! and not too pricey!

If you haven't tried it, I'd highly recommend a place called Juniper and Ivy (on Kettner between Juniper and Ivy). If you've watched any of the cooking shows (TOP Chef, etc.); this is Richard Blais' place. Wife and I ate there a few times right after he opened it (seating was easy to get and pricing wasn't bad yet). If you can try to get a seat w/a view of the kitchen and definitely try the oysters 'n pearls (if you do oysters). It was a great experience (at least a few years back)...

Their "Gut Bombs" look and sound fantastic. I've never eaten there but I'll bet it's worth making the trek.
If a restaurant isn't pretty good in this town it will disappear rather quickly. There's just too much competition.

    2022-07-04.jpg

In the olden days we ran a 9 unit apartment building in this same area.
Being on a short leash at lunch time we typically dined at an open-air joint right across the street from the units.
This was 10 years ago and even this restaurant has changed a great deal.

    Thanks for the tip. :)

Thank you. Was sitting on the back patio having a brew and thought “hell, that’s a pretty cool pic.” iPhone 11 came out. This week I will upgrade to a 13pro and give my oldest mine.

Then the rain came and I went inside. It was rather nasty.

Oh man. I have one of those in my used phone bin and a SE. They still work great though. Had it rebuilt for my oldest daughter to use as her first phone.

If they don’t take it on trade in this week, I’ll give it to you.

Want the SE as well? Has the 6plus software on it.

I absolutely know where that is. I've lived in this area my whole life so I know where everything is. When we moved to EDH when I was 3, the population was less than 4k people so I've seen all the changes.
