Does anyone happen to know if the connector is hidden in the mirror on ones without the auto-dimming and Homelink? I'd like to add this, but it might be more work than I have time for right now (any clue how to possibly remove the current mirror to check? I know Toyota tended to pre-wire everything on these trucks, whether it had the features or not!).

fred I think you can remove the mirror by using a t20 torx bit. I imagine if the connector is hidden it would be somewhere up in the upper console which I believe can also be removed by using the t20 bit. Mine had 6 to remove, 2 of which were in the ceiling lights towards the rear of the upper console, and the other 4 were in the sun glass holders.

If you have an sr5 trim you have two connectors tucked away. On 07-09 they offer a plug for the mirror and a separate one for the flip down rear view monitor. My understanding is 10-13’s have a plug that moved the reverse camera to the rear view mirror eliminating the flip down monitor.
So long story short , if you have an sr5 this will work..

So on my 08 sr5 with basic mirror, this will work if i pull the connector from up above? If so I would take it.

I am interested in this. What is the price? Your post said price reduced? I have an 08 SR5 so I believe it should work.
