I'll have to hook up TechStream. Must be some secret swipey method or something as it didn't seem to work on my truck. Perhaps I was doing it wrong lol

So, i got my grille finally, working on the camera bracket, had to stop was going cross-eyed staring at the computer,

    @Jr3volution, @ByeF150HelloTundra

i found some mini marker lights that i thought might fit the grille, and it turns out they do!
now they may not be as fancy as the OEM ones, but they work and was cheap to do.

oem ones fill the entire little area and have a slope to em on the front, and has that +75 HP sticker on the back of them
    [IMG]

    what i installed,

    upload_2022-6-21_18-25-9.jpg

    Soooooooooo,

Tools Needed: *if you do the same as me,
    Drill
Drill Bit Set, mainly 9/16, and a 5/32 for a few of them
Some way to cut the bar stock, hacksaw, jigsaw, circular saw, porta band, cutoff wheel, die grinder with cutoff wheel, or i used an angle grinder with cutoff wheel
some form of grinder, bench grinder, angle grinder with flap disc, etc..
Bench vise is handy to have to bend the aluminum all purty like
    Hammer!
    Marker
    Tape Measure
Miscellaneous hand tools, pliers vice grips etc..
    electrical terminal connector assortment
    optional:
soldering iron, solder, heat shrink tubing
    plastic wire loom
    electrical tape

Remember your PPE! Don't lose an eye!
    upload_2022-6-21_18-55-8.jpg

i went and saw my good buddy Homer at the Depot, (home depot for those who don't care for my bad jokes)
Picked up a piece of 1/8 in x 1in x 3 ft aluminum flat bar stock, cost $8.00
    20220621_123747.jpg

got the marker lights, 3 holes, 3 total... , yes i know they aren't led, i don't particularly care, $4.00 ea so $12.00
    upload_2022-6-21_18-31-37.jpg
    upload_2022-6-21_18-31-57.jpg

also picked up some screws, this is what i used, use whatever you want, went with stainless as i live in the rust belt, this pack was $6.00
    upload_2022-6-21_18-35-33.jpg

now on to the fun part,

i cut my flat bar at 24 inches as i wanted to have it overhang past the letters a bit on the sides so i know there would be support

    upload_2022-6-21_19-5-32.jpg

after i cut it, i took and laid the bar in above the letters and put the lights into place where i thought that they looked good,
i then used a marker to mark out the base where the lights sit as you can't mark from top down, once the bases were marked i pulled it back off and used the marker light as a guide to mark the screw holes, then drilled them all with the 9/16ths drill bit.

    upload_2022-6-21_19-10-38.jpg

i then put the marker lights on the bar and used the screws to attach them,
CAUTION - you go Hee Hawin on the screw your going to strip the aluminum where the screw is cutting the threads

once the lights were screwed on, i then went and used a grinder to grind the screws flush on the bottom side of the bar or else it would not fit back in the spot at all

    upload_2022-6-21_19-17-52.jpg
    upload_2022-6-21_19-17-1.jpg

after the lights were mounted i test fit again and all was kosher,
took the leftover 1ft piece of bar stock and made 2 brackets by bending and cutting it, no real measurements here, i just made some that worked, they don't look the best, but they will hold it to the grille
used 2 screws from the top of the bar down into the brackets i made, i used the 5/32nds drill bit for those holes for the screw to go through, and then used the 9/16ths on the bracket holes for them to cut threads into, these don't have to be ground down.

    upload_2022-6-21_19-25-14.jpg

    upload_2022-6-21_19-28-3.jpg

after the mounting brackets were done only thing left was wiring,
these particular marker lights use a "body" ground
    upload_2022-6-21_19-31-16.jpg

so wire all the black wires from the lights to power,+12v, "hot" whatever you want to call it
i wired all mine together in a chain instead of 3 individual wires, you can use whatever you want to attach them together(except scotch locks - don't use those for anything they are terrible)
me, i soldered my wires together and used some heat shrink tubing
then i attached a ring terminal to a black wire for ground and used one of the bracket screws to hold it to the aluminum
    upload_2022-6-21_19-33-47.jpg

    upload_2022-6-21_19-43-6.jpg

    upload_2022-6-21_19-38-4.jpg

used a couple pieces of electrical tape to secure wires to the bar itself before i stuck it back in, could use plastic loom if you want.

used 2 of the screws to screw the brackets to the grille!
    and finish!

@Brums Great job man. Let me know when it’s all finalized as I’d gladly pay you if you would print me out a camera bracket as well.

i mean from the start that was kinda my plan, design it and get it out there for people to make themselves, believe me I'm not against ME making money off it, i'm against other people making money off my work

i would venture to say i probably have 60+hrs in design, changes and test fitting, let alone buying the grille to be able to test it out, my truck won't have the front camera, so the bracket won't make a bit of difference for me, could have called it quits a long time ago, but i like a challenge every now and again

i see it says your from caaa nerr derr. you guys up there aren't bad, what are you looking for the .STL or my fusion360 design file?

I just want to be able to get the pro grill and mount the front camera properly. My brother has a 3D printer and said with the STL file he could make me it, one and done. I’m not trying to make a business off it I never thought of it that way but I can understand that people could do that and you dont want to give work away. I would buy a finished one if that’s what you do or the file whatever works

my tester / guinea pig Jr3volution should receive the one i sent him tomorrow, i don't know when he would have time to make sure it all fits properly, or if i will need to make any changes though,
since i didn't have a truck, or the camera itself, i had to make a "dummy" one, I'm hoping i made it right, and he comes back with positive feedback or minor changes or ideas to make it better

    but will let everyone know

decided i didn't like the look of the marker light mount and brackets i made, looks rather Jank

    upload_2022-6-28_3-29-16.jpg

designed some new brackets and printed them 100% infill, or completely solid for those that don't know
    upload_2022-6-28_3-28-24.jpg

decided i didn't like the look of the aluminum bar either, took and wrapped it with some cloth electrical tape i have

@Brums .. I know you were focusing on the TRD Pro grill camera mount, but I have a TRD OR grill sitting in a box right now waiting for my paintable grill surround to get here before I install it. With that, if I could provide photos/measurements/etc., would you be willing to see about a camera bracket for the TRD OR grill? And if so, what measurements would you need? I can provide anything you need .. angles/screw & camera locations/etc. Let me know if this is something we might be able to work together on!

alright so, can you take a picture of the OR grille, with the grille facing the proper direction/oriented the right way, take a picture of where the camera would go, looking straight down on it, and put a ruler or tape measure close to where the camera bracket would screw down to. this will help me be able to scale your photo into fusion 360

will need you to measure on the grille, the outside edge of the mounting post, to the outside edge of the other mounting post
    upload_2022-7-2_11-8-1.jpg

measure the tip of the alignment post to the outside edge of mounting post
    upload_2022-7-2_11-11-10.jpg

    arts and crafts time!

get a piece of cardboard, cut a hole in it big enough for your camera connector to go through, you can screw the camera down to it if you wish,
then i want you to put the camera into the grill and bend/trim the cardboard to what you think would be the best fit, as if you were trying to make the mount out of cardboard
take a picture from the side that way the angles are visible, if you can get a ruler/tape measure into the shot that would be great as well
if you have something that measures angles, if you can measure them great, if not don't worry about it

lets see what you can come up with and we will go from there

I like projects and this sounds like a fun assignment haha! I have to see if I can get the front camera off of my truck without taking the grill off so I can do some test fits. May not get this all to you today, but I'm off work this coming week so I'll get something to you soon! My buddy is a Mech. Engineer so I'm going to see if he has CAD on any of his machines to perhaps make something up as well. Gotta see if he's willing to help out haha but regardless I'll get this stuff together!

heres a very rough n dirty first draft, not knowing any measurements

might be just as easy to make something out of metal for it, like i did with my homemade marker lights, strip of aluminum bend it how you need it, drill some holes and bolt it on

Agreed. Since you really can't see it, I could try that for at least a rough in. I could even make two and send one to you and then you've have something with exact angles and such and could create/add a .stp file to your archives in case anyone does this in the future! Stay tuned and I'll see what I can get you.

I’d love one of these. Swapped platinum grill to pro grill.
Removed camera mount completely and used 3M double sided tape to mount camera for now.
I’ll post my reply explanation that explains that better.
Please let me know if you make and sell this mount. I still have the 2 screws for. Mourning camera to the mount.
