I put a cup and a half of whole of corn, probably too much cheese, diced green chilis and jalapenos (both from a can), and sometimes diced sausage in with the batter. Sweet or non-sweet depends on the chili (depths-of-hell hot gets sweet, normal hot gets non-sweet); but the sweetener is only ever honey - - never granulated sugar. Sausage never goes in sweet, in case you're wondering.

 

Caffeine is the other killer here ( Lookin at you @TaquitoBandito). I still don't drink much water but I definately watch my caffeine intake closer.

 

I know - I do it for my migraines though. I drink one energy drink a day and then pretty much everything else is water. Workout days will have me adding protein mixed with either oat milk or rice milk.

 

I guess you could but corn bread with chili is the way it should be done.

Good Lord man! Why even bother cutting up the onion?! Just eat the onion whole and chase it with the chili.

It has its place. Cornbread isn’t that bad with plenty of butter, I’m just not a big fan.
