Do you own a pair of these Weathertech floor mats?

Does anyone own a pair of these specific mats by Weathertech? If so, would you recommend them over the other limited and more or less expensive options?

I recently posted a thread on the 1st gen marketplace forum wanting to buy a light charcoal front right passenger floor mat, but feeling like it's a long shot so might opt for these if not.

I am not sure which color I like more. Black or gray?

According to Toyota's website, I have an (Fn43) interior color that appears slightly tan/fawnish hue to it.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing!

I think those are the ones that I have in my DC. They're good quality, heavy weight and hold up well, but the fit is just "okay". Better than most generic mats, but definitely not a custom fit. I think I have the black (although more of a dark gray color I'll try to take a picture this evening) in my tan/fawn interior, it's definitely not a match.

I have dark/charcoal grey interior, although some of the parts are listed as "med grey" or "med gray", whatever.

I personally think black looks good in that situation.

And this reminds me, I need to look at the part number of the mats I got on fleaBay to see what color they're technically listed as. They're lighter than my dark grey, though not by much.

I just realized 2000-2004 have slightly different floorboard dimensions than 2005-2006. @Acatlin96 offered up his 2003 light charcoal-colored mats for sale but unfortunately they won't fit my 2006.

That's interesting, and I don't think it's quite right, either.

EDIT: I'd encourage looking at this thread regarding fitment of Weathertech mats.

I say that b/c I was just mulling over selling my new take-offs with the floor fastener still attached through the front. They don't match my interior, they're too light grey in color. Like, here is my original "dark charcoal" mats to compare, nearly black. Funny enough those dark charcoal ones have the same part numbers you show in your 1st image above.

The new "new take-offs" I was looking to sell must be what Toyota calls "Oak" because when I look up their part# (PT548-34040) it tells me two things:
    • They fit 2004-2005, with no ab designation
    • They only came in two colors, Dark Charcoal, and Oak
So I'm at a loss. I clearly see my "new take-offs" set has a few stains, probably from years of sitting around, or maybe a little use after purchase. I can't imagine someone drove around without securing them to the floor though. The fact the fastener is still sewn into the mat suggests no real-world use.

@shifty` check out the difference between these two Weathertech mats.

    2003 option- https://www.etrailer.com/Floor-Mats/Toyota/Tundra/2003/WTW4GR.html?VehicleID=2003954247
    2006 option - https://www.etrailer.com/p-WTW40GR.html?hhyear=2006&hhmake=Toyota&hhmodel=Tundra

Here is the link to the marketplace posting with photos of @Acatlin96 mats from 2003. https://www.tundras.com/threads/wtb-taupe-colored-passenger-side-floor-mat.109258/#post-2819330

The driver-side mat is slightly different from the 2006 stock mat I have most notably where the accelerator pedal is.

Interestingly enough, some notes to add.

Compare your '06 mat to my original dark charcoal 06 mats. Same shape.
Compare our same '06 mats to the full set I bought off fleaBay, bottom is different.
Compare Acatlin96's mats our '06 mats, same story, bottom is different.
Compare Acatlin96's mats to my fleaBay set, once again, bottom is different.

Clearly our '06 mats are the same, but literally every other mat is generally the same shape, with 3 different bottom styles. Bizarre.

I can't explain to you the rhyme/reason behind it.

I did go to W-Tech's site for our 2006: https://www.weathertech.com/toyota/2006/tundra/

And I dicked around with the year numbers a bit, and indeed, it seems some change happened at or after the 2004 year that makes the mats different.

Hell if I can tell you the what/why behind it. If I were you, I'd use that last link I posted, click the item you want, and let the manuf'er tell you the part number, then search for that part number on eTrailer's site. I did that (see red box) and here's something I noticed (see yellow boxes), there are two floor post provisions ... our truck only came with one!

I have light gray Weathertech's in my 06 DC that came with the truck. . . my interior is gray as well.
IMO they look fine, I'd give the fit a B+ . . . the grey might hide light colored 'debris' better than black, but show stains more than black.
They clean up easily. One thing that sold me was I spilled a bottle of something while driving, the liquid all went out the truck under the door, nothing got in the cab, other than what was caught and left in the mat.
I have the the rear mat as well.
    I recommend them highly.

    Edit . . . i have these,

I'd be interested if you decide to sell and if they fit my truck. I'm local(ish) to you as well... just let me know.

I believe the Sequoias have the same floorboards for 2000-2004 and 2005-2006/7 and is likely the reason the the extra hole for the retainers.

Etrailer.com has a video showing the fitment of the W4 model mats in a 2002 Tundra:
    https://www.etrailer.com/Floor-Mats/Toyota/Tundra/2003/WTW4GR.html?vehicleid=2003954247

It seems the 2005-2006 floorboards have a raised section below the accelerator pedal while the 2000-2004 do not. The W40 model mats are shaped accordingly to account for this it seems. If I can’t locate a stock light charcoal passenger mat is good condition I am going to place an order for the W40 most likely in black.

I recently purchased these floor mats designated for 2000-2004 Tundra and Sequoia but they didn’t really fit to well on the driver side so ended up returning them. They were used like new for $37 and with free returns figured I’d try them out.
