Track your Tundra when in "F" status on the train

Oh man. That is a bummer. I thought it was on the train as of 6/16 with an ETA to the dealership of 6/30 - 7/5. But sounds like that is not the case? Still held up in TX? Build date 4/29.

 

Any chance I can get another check to see if the thing is any closer to being here?

im sure the amtrak derailment in MO probably isn't helping much with lead times right now

 

Question,

Once you know your rail car has left San Antonio how long will it take to get to Chicago? Apparently my sales guy said the trucks go to Chicago and then they go by truck to Ohio.

 

I'm in central Ohio and am waiting for mine. It supposedly departed on the 18th and last someone checked for me (27th) it still was showing only as rail departed

 

My ETA was scheduled for 6/24. Dealer is now show “in freight”. Dealer system is arrival between 7/5 and 7/11.

ordered the truck on 1/12. I am waiting impatiently.

 

Just noticed on the network site my truck has changed to G status. It would be awesome if that thing was in for me to pick up this weekend.

So I was driving westbound I-90 passing exit 5 in post falls, and saw a truck with 4 tundras on it. A silver CrewMax, red CrewMax, and 2 double cabs I forgot the color of those 2 but there is hope they're actually moving trucks.

 

Thats going to suck.

No it goes by train from San Antonio to Chicago and than by truck to Ohio the dealership

 

Once you receive your rail information with the rail car number you can call 1-800-235-2352 and it’s an automated system. It will ask what your looking for and give you a couple of options you pick “location”
Then it will ask the initials which is the first 4 letters of your rail car then it will ask for the last 6 numbers of your rail car. It will process in about 10 seconds and it will give you the current update.

For me my rail car snap shot said it departed on 6/26 however when I called that number this evening it said my rail car left San Antonio today 6/29 at 1:05 pm. The phone number is more accurate. But in order to track the rail car you need the rail car number.

 

Any chance the silver was actually an MGM? I am patiently waiting for mine in Spokane. Supposedly loaded onto rail on the 9th and was supposed to arrive the 20th.

Yeah...my sales person is only giving me an estimate of build + 90 days...almost like he isn't allowed to tell me anything sooner. When was yours built/what kind of estimate did they give you?

 

I can’t remember all the details honestly. I think I “ordered” mine at the end of March / beginning of April and then mid April they said they got an allocation for one similar to what I wanted. I accepted the specs and it was built on 4/29. Still waiting for delivery.

I thought I remember you sayin yours was red. Mine is silver, they had a silver one but it had the TRD grille, not the base SR5 grill

 

It was silver, I got excited because that's my color but I saw it has the TRD grill. It was on a truck on a frontage road off I-90 and exit 5 Beck road. Mine is headed to Automation in the Valley.

 

That is where mine is headed as well. Have they been pretty good about giving you updates? I get the feeling my salesman doesn't want to be bothered too much with the status questions lol. Oh well, I figured out the hack to at least check the "F" status myself whenever I want so I will be able to see when it switches to "G".

How has your overall experience been with them? I wasn't super impressed that they didn't want to take outside financing, but whatever...Ill deal with it lol.

 

Hopefully our trucks get here this weekend. I text my salesman every Saturday to get an update, don't want to be too annoying but still want to know. I have the status page hack thing pulled up and Ive been refreshing the page about 20 times per day hoping it turns into a G lol.

My experience wasn't too bad, I wasn't a huge fan of the financing part either, I signed it because I felt like I couldn't back out at that point and I wanted a truck. I plan on trading my truck in, putting close to half down, and working overtime like a madman to pay it off by next summer.

When was your build date?

 

Put my deposit down around mid June. Build date was 8 June (already built when I put my deposit down, someone backed out). It is in "F" status but not sure if it is on a rail yet...this is what the dealer shows, which is super funky...
