How to: Track your Tundra at the Factory

I’ve only driven it 20 miles or so home and then to work but loving it so far. Drives smooth and feels like it has plenty of power but I’m going to baby it until the break in period is over.

 

I put a deposit down on a build I wanted march 3rd the local dealer could not find one for 3 months. I started searching and found a unsold unit in TN.
Put a deposit down may 18th.
truck was built and shipped to Prinston Indiana on the 19th
switched to G status 6/9
delivered to dealer on 6/9

booked tickets to pick it up on the 15th

 

care to share the dealer info? I’ve called a few in TN who have all said theyre only selling to TN residents… Thanks!

 

Would also love to know! I'm in East TN and have been waiting since late April and mine has been sitting at the same port for a couple months now.

 

picked my beauty up this past Saturday.
She had 3 miles on her.

Drive home was very educational... to my shock, I made it home on the same tank.. 596 miles.

 

Wow - 596 miles! That is impressive. I know these have I think 32 or 33 gallon tanks? Still that's right around 18 MPG right out the gate. Seems like most agree that MPG improves a little over time as well, so maybe you'll get up in the 20-21 range once broken in.

 

Does anyone know if it is a third party company delivering the trucks? Wondering if my dealer is just waiting to send someone or if they're waiting on someone to pick up the contract?

 

Getting really annoyed. My truck was built on 5/21 and it still has A status.

 

So started looking about a month ago for a 1794 Gas. Located in midwest and I called about a 100 dealers! Put a deposit down with my local dealer in hopes on June 4th. Yesterday night happened to refresh Autotrader and saw a Hybrid pop up in the exact color i wanted in West Virginia! Sent message and got in touch with dealer this morning and luckily put in a deposit this morning at MSRP! Build date was 6/14 and on tracker shows in F status so should be getting it in a few weeks! Will need to travel to somewhere in WV from Chicago area to get it, but no prob. Also wasn't looking for hybrid, but i'll take it rather than wait who knows how long for the gas version! Sweet!!

 

Just got a call from my dealer that the truck will be available in 7-10 days! FINALLY! Tracking the way that the forum has suggested it's still showing "F", so I will keep everyone updated as to when that changes on my end.

 

Looks like the eta block is back. I was shown that my tundra should be at the port today, but it still shows an F status. Earlier today, the eta block wasn't there though. Wonder if that's a sign that its there.

 

Look at that! You are correct. That is the FIRST time mine has ever showed the eta block. Sure wish it had something there though

 

First time for me as well. I'll check in the morning to see if it flips to G and shows a date.

So my truck was build on 6/8, but it still show dealer category A and has never shown up on the dealers website. This seems different then what I am reading with most, anyone else ever have there truck take this long to show up on the dealer site after building? I did get the permanent vin at least, hope it comes sooner than later.

 

Question…My truck was built 5/23 and has been on the dealers website as “in transit” and randomly disappeared yesterday. My dealership said they had no updates since it still had a rail arrival ETA of 6/11 from their end. I was wondering if anyone knew if the removal of the posting meant that it’s being delivered?

 

Mine does not show the ETA field as of right now anyway.

 

Is there a way to track my Tundra if I'm in Texas?

 

Mine too. Dealer said build date is 8/1, however, I am unsure where he is seeing this.

 

The only way to get that info is for the dealer to send you a screenshot of the Dealer Daily page for your vehicle. It's not something you can find out on your own.

 

Can anyone help please. My dealer could care less about giving me an update and a screenshot. Today I got the generic think it’s at the port should be the end of the month. But I at least got this VIN from him 5TFMA5ECXNX007194. We are getting a 1794 and last digits are 7194….I’m a little nervous lol. Anyone out there have access to the dealer database that can check for me.

I have been trying to track the 1794 that I have a deposit on, keep getting the same message below, tried every browser for a Mac, Google, Firefox & Safari, same message, anyone else getting this message?

 

that happened to me once once the truck was built. When the vin converted from a temp vin to permanent.

 

Thanks for the replies, found out yesterday from the dealer the Truck was built a few days ago, targeted build date was 7/11 so it was built early..guess Ill see if I cant track it on the rail system now.

 

I have been tracking my truck for the past 3 weeks with the link provided and my VIN supplied by the dealer, last Monday it was still in "A" status. Today when I checked using the same method it brings up Page not found, see dealer for mor info. Do y'all have any idea why this maybe?

 

I believe that means it has now been built. So the temporary VIN will no longer work. You’ll need to get the actual VIN number to track from here.

 

I have a deposit on a Limited TRD OR Hybrid, on 6/3 the dealer gave me a temp VIN and told me that the scheduled build date is 8/2. I got a message earlier today that the dealer was advised by Toyota that allocated vehicles will be delayed 30 days.

 

Is this still working for everyone? I was just checking and the screen looks totally different now...

I just checked mine again. Showed F this morning now it shows G. I hope that means it was delivered.
