I found my truck at Lassen in Albany. Kendall in Bend was 4-6 months out. The 2021 I bought last summer came from Kendall in Eugene. I got extremely lucky both times when I found the exact truck I wanted. I was searching the whole west coast and lucked out.

Worst case scenario. Hope everyone was OK (besides the totaled truck).

I see people creeping out at that intersection when it's slippery and brakes are not an option and I wonder if they are stupid enough to try it which would mean I hit them or end up in the snowbank too. So many idiots driving around up there. I can't count the number of days each season when the conditions can be driven safely at 50mph but we're at a standstill because people have the wrong car with the wrong tires and can't figure out how to drive in the conditions or that they maybe shouldn't have tried to get their car up and down that road. People riding their brakes and sliding out all the way back down too. It's teaching me patience I guess. Aaaaand it's still minor compared to the Govy 500. Lol.

But that was one hell of an April and May on the mountain though!

these folks were on vacation in a rented and Cadillac suv. ODOT came and did a great job. My own tow truck pulled their car down the road a stretch for Safety and ODOT gave them a ride up to Mt Bachelor to continue their vacation. I was left dealing with the BS of the situation and had to fight my own insurance company. I’m glad we were all ok and I’m glad they got to have a nice vacation but for fuck’s sake, they hit me and I had to clean up all the mess. I’m glad I ended up with a 22 but I estimate I’m out 10k in the end. Don’t get me wrong, I had a choice to find a similar 2021 but it wasn’t going to be the same color, trim or mileage. I made a choice to pony up for the new new. Best thing for me is to never look back and count my blessings.

It really was. I did some good backcountry, some resort, a trip to Colorado and even bought a new powder board. I didn’t figure I’d ride it this season but I mounted bindings on the 2nd to last day of the season and ripped powder on it. Crazy end of the season. I guess I could hit timberline and keep it rolling!
