I am over complicating all of this. Do i need to compound before polish or I can straight polish after clay followed by prep then Undrdog?

If no correction is necessary then just do a polish

It just sat there more than anything. I rarely brought it out, even in the snow. Hell, I would use it to go save stranded motorists in the side of the road more than anything.

So?! Lol. Throughout Covid and with these gas prices, my truck sits in the driveway for a few days at a time.

Nah. I DD my Lexus (at the time) took up a lot of space. Basically the wife had to park outside for a few years while both of my vehicles got to be inside lol
My truck was paid for and I think I only lost $6k in 6 years time with 4X,XXX. Granted, prices increased drastically in 21/22

A week old I wouldn't unless you need to polish it for swirls. Tesla's have super soft paint like Toyota's and any claying will mar it.

I see you plan on polishing, so yeah may as well clay. Not sure what colir your car is but I polished my black tundra with 3d one andvwhite lakecountry pads. I tried orange pads but it was leaving a haze but that was on black so.

Began Undrdog. Just timing it out and waiting for these panels to “dry” before buffing.

I can/should apply this to my glass too, no?

how big of a bottle of the coating did you have? even a smaller 30ml bottle should have done your whole vehicle.

that would be a good temporary sealant, but it won't hold anything to the coating's longevity

I can do two sedans with one 30ml bottle (paint trim glass and windshield). A little goes a long way. The substrate will only "accept" what it's going to take. What bonds will bond...what doesn't will wipe away. That spray won't last a fraction of the coating's longevity.

This will take 20ml more or less. Even with the plastic top and fenders soaking up more product than the paint (plastic but we removed to polish). Will coat tomorrow.

First worry about what you've done. If you've used a whole bottle, then you've used too much. Make sure what's been coated is clear and buffed with no high spots. Excess coating applied can have high spots pop up after a wipedown as the solvent carrying the coating evaporates and its hard to see once youve done the wipedow . Make sure it's all off.

If you have the time, order another bottle. If their shipping is too slow, let me know and I can expedite ship you what's left of this 60ml bottle once I coat the Bronco tomorrow.

How much of the truck did you get done?
