UPDATE: Everything fixed and works properly. The unit that I was sent was faulting out of the box. Luckily I had a local radio repair shop who sent the unit out and refurbished it. New screen and everything. This fixed all of my problems

So I did the upgrade from Entune 2.0 to Entune 3.0. Replaced my radio with a new one out of a 21 Tundra. Did a non jbl nav unit for a non jbl nav unit (0C390) . Got the conversion harness. However, I'm having 3 issues and I'm not quite sure how to fix them.

1 is as soon as I turn on the truck. It starts up like a computer every time which I don't know is normal or not. But I don't have audio for probably a good 15 to 20 seconds. After that time frame and I finally get the FM radio on, if I change the radio station, I completely lose audio. No idea how or why this happens but it goes away completely, no FM audio noise.

2nd issue is when I connect my galaxy note 10+ from the USB port I get the Android auto notification on the phone. But I do not see the Android auto display on the radio. How do I get that to work? For some reason mine doesn't show anything up on the menu > entertainment tab.

3rd issue which is kind of minor but kind of all so severe. If I am connected via Bluetooth. Which sometimes is a struggle to begin with, the Bluetooth is very sporadic. Even if it is physically connected and within two or three feet of the head unit itself. It seems like I have to set my phone literally on top of the dash on top of the radio for it to get a good solid clear Bluetooth signal. I do know that there is an update that I heard. I'm wondering if I do this update which I will include in the next post if it will fix a lot of these issues.

To add to that, I did attempt to download Entune app Suite which is now just called the Toyota app. But again I can't get it to communicate with the truck even whenever it's plugged in via the USB port directly under the HVAC controls. Any help would be greatly appreciated

im not sure if its normal or not either but when i turn the key on the infotainment shows "starting" on the screen and takes nearly 20-30 seconds until i get audio out of it. but i just find it weird that the radio station works as soon as i turn the truck on. but if i change the radio station i lose the audio and the only way to get it back is either turn the truck off and back or, or change the source to something else and then back to FM radio. maybe @Fish River Tundra or @SnrDisregardo or maybe even @OGDark Knight can shed some light of their personal experience with it.

My personal experience was short because the head unit worked so poorly. I ditched the setup within a week to get a pioneer 8600.

I'm almost there too. FWIW I really only listen to podcasts, but when I want to listen to music, it falls extremely short. And since it's a 3rd vehicle for me, I'm kinda torn.

The issue of start up, I'm not really picturing what you are talking about, but I know when mine starts, I get a screen that just says Starting.... for 5-10?seconds, but that seems acceptable to me since its basically a computer now.

I remember when using car play, the unit was very picky with which cable i used for connection. It only worked with an apple cable

I have heard this, however I am using the same phones and the same cables in my company car and I have tested and verified that they work properly. Going to try my iPhone in the truck this evening

... meaning it's performance/connectivity was 'hit and miss' w/non apple cable; or it flat out wouldn't even connect w/non apple cable?

Either way, doesn't really matter because I have tried it with an apple cable, a non-apple cable, my Android phone along with a very high quality anker cable. Either way it doesn't matter because there has to be something messed up with the FM radio tuner because I can't change radio stations and not lose sound. Or, there's an issue with carplay and Android auto. As it recognizes the iPhone is on there but carplay, no matter how many times I've tried it, does not come up on the screen

Nothing fits as nicely in the dash than this unit. I don't care what aftermarket options are out there.

I don't know how it could. I just found a hidden diagnostic menu which I plan to try. I wish I knew someone local to me in the Harrisburg PA area with a 20 or 21 Tundra that I could try this radio in that way I could diagnose whether it's the radio itself or the conversion harness

So I found two videos in how to get into the diagnosis screen on these radios. One with the headlight on off three times thing. And then I found a second one which seems to be more in detail if you press seek five times and then track five times with the display off. Can anyone do this on one of their 2020 or 21 Tundras and see if they get "NG" red box? which Im assuming stands for no good, because I checked with my Factory 2019 head unit and when I perform this I got the blue "okay" box

Here is the how to to get into this screen

Please excuse me if this has already been covered. Which USB port is your phone connected to? My Android Auto only works if connected to the far left port. It looked like you were using one to the right in your video.

There is only one USB port under the HVAC controls. This is a 2019 Tundra with a 2020 radio in it

I can test mine 2020 radio. After going in to that menu, what do I need to press for the "NG" test?

As an update to this thread, I found out that my head unit was faulty when I received it. I had it sent out to United Radio to be tested and fixed and $150 later had a brand new head unit with a completely new screen and front face. 100% worth it as when I contacted the selling company of the head unit was told it was 100% working order and it wasn't so a full refund was given to me. This in my opinion was 100% worth it, minus the headaches and Diagnostics I had to do

So were you able to get it all working with no issues? If so do you mind posting a video and where to get everything I want to do the same thing to my 2018 platinum love the OEM look as well.

If you literally see the comment directly above what you said. Yes I got everything to work. The unit that I received was faulty and actually had to have it refurbished right away. After that everything worked perfectly fine.

@sgtfluffy16 - any contact info for them you can share? I've got a VERY intermittent issue...and have managed to essentially verify it's NOT my amp, wiring, or phones, meaning it almost has to be the HU itself.
