I have had my truck since December, with about 6k miles. Recently I have noticed a ratting when I hit bump from somewhere behind the 14” screen. Or just in the dash general area. Sounds like a plastic rattling not metal.

any one else experience this or have any idea how to remove the dash?

This happens to me and I only have 600 miles on mine. It seems to happen after I park outside and the truck interior is hot then it goes away after it cools a bit. I hate it and I will find a solution as soon as I can figure out exactly where it is coming from. My Tacoma had a rattle between the passenger's side of the dash and the trim. Finally found it and placed a small section of rubber in the crack. If I find this one I will post a fix. Just gotta find exactly where it is coming from.

Check the plastic cover behind the rearview mirror. We've spent weeks trying to track down the same intermittent rattle and it was that thin plastic cover behind the mirror that surrounds the windshield camera assembly.

My tacoma had what sound like a loose screw in dash or door panel rolling back and forth sometimes. I put up with it for five years. Just turned radio up a little to drown out sound. Sort like we did back in 80's when your vehicle started making noises. Just turn radio up a little. See if we could get it home.

That might just be it. I did have a radar detector hard wired and they had to remove that cover. I'll have to check that out.

Hope you get it worked out. Huge pet peeve of mine, Ive sold vehicles for interior squeaks/rattles that could not be found.

I’ve got a bad one that’s coming from the glove box area, but nothing is loose in there or anything.

No kidding. I can’t hear it with music on but it’s super annoying when it’s off.. it takes almost no bump for the rattle sound to appear. Really sounds like a hard plastic hose that’s barely off another pieces of hard plastic that contacts with sudden bumps.

that’s not it. It sounds pretty low like below the 14” screen. I need to figure out how to remove all the center console pieces below and up to the screen

I had a rattling coming from the passenger side somewhere. I finally identified it to be the speaker grill on the passenger side of the dash. I took off the grill and put some felt tape around the edges and that removed the rattle. Recently I noticed another rattle and it seems to be coming from the center dash speaker. I'll be examining that grill soon too.

I chased a rattle in the dash area for a couple of weeks. Finally figured out it was the plastic divider/shelf in the glove box. Removed that piece, as I don't really see the utility of it, and the rattle is gone. Good luck.

I know some Tacoma people had the front dash corner speaker cover rattle, adjacent to the A pillar on the passenger side

Same issue on my 24 OR Tundra. Tried various fixes. Anyone isolate it yet. If I push or pull the dash some where the cubby is top of dash it seems to go away temporarily.
