I think it looks cleaner naked if it’s lifted but for some reason if it’s not leveled/lifted it looks weird to me

Not a bad idea..might have to give that one a try.

It's a work in progress and I took a break from de-badging to put on new wheels and tires yesterday :D

I had this thought also. But I feel like it works better with a pop of color like yours. I’m not so sure Cement would have the same effect. Did you do the TUNDRA on the door below that badge?

With the Platinums, you only have the badge on the top part of the door.

I bet with the black background, Cement would look good too.

I just used 3M auto double-stick tape. Its pretty much the sane stuff the OEM uses. Before I took the badge off, I placed masking tape around the badge border to ensure they went back on as they came off.

Is it true that if you put your removed badges on a Chevy, Ford or Dodge it makes them more reliable????

Well peer pressure might get me on this one. Now if I can find a platinum Barcelona tundra hit in the side so I can grab the grill surround, bulge, and bumpers on the cheap :fingerscrossed:

Alright gave it a test run with the 5.7 badge. Ended up with an outline around the badge that’s smooth to the touch. Tried windex, goo gone, dawn dish soap, elbow grease, finger nails, to no avail. Won’t have anymore time to mess with it today but should have a good bit tomorrow. Tips? Tricks? (Best picture I could get. It’s a full line around where it was)

Just a quick polish/wax, by hand, with whatever your product of choice is.

    That took mine away.

Honestly I’ve always treated my vehicles like crap. Trying to turn over a new leaf. When I debadged my Sierra it had lines still. Took it down wet gravel about 50, let it sit dirty for a week and pow! Gone. Call me magic man
Edit: So I don’t have a product of choice… I’ll be sure and have one before doing the rest tomorrow though

I'd think anything like swirl remover would buff that out..
But no old gritty polishing compound..

Closest thing I could find locally was TurtleWax polishing compound. Took it all off except for the two scratches I put on the truck when I flipped the 5.7 emblem too hard. So passenger side SR5 and 5.7 emblems off. She’ll just have to sit cockeyed for the night
