I feel like non union get time off, but almost penalized for using it? Or they aren’t allowed to use certain amounts at a time, kinda thing.
Last place I worked, I had no back up and I wanted money, so I never really took vacations, and when I did, I had to work thrice as hard to catch up, so it was super nonbenifical to take time off.

Not union for AZ state jobs, but with the bad experiences I've had with unions, I am good with that. I thought the corrupt union I had to deal with as a mail man was bad until I had to deal with the Teamsters for my wife's airline job. They exceeded my worst and lowest expectations more than I could have ever imagined.

Not enough, apparently...yet. This damn forum...
Being union in a right to work state kinda blows, but we do have access to legal if we need it. We DID just get a pretty decent raise from the county though, and are now starting a pay study so we will see what happens.

We got a 10% "critical service" raise through the end of the fiscal year (that ends Friday) due to turnover and Covid. We shall see what they do next week.

We did a pay study, haha and they totally fluffed the numbers of outside competition as well as broadened our work scope to make it harder to match our pay in the outside market, it was great, and then went no where from that point other than everyone being pissed where they got pigeon holed

I’m not union and my boss sucks.

I don’t get raises, just more work.

So they brought in @Squatting Pigeon and @Fotnot to break the union?

Hey, while I'm gone camping out of cell service, I'll need one of you to take notes and write up a quick summary of what I missed while I'm gone so I can catch up without having to read through 39 pages.

You should look into getting one of those Starlink things. Maybe Tom will subsidize one for you.

you act like your going to mexico! I’m pretty sure I still had service there, take a nice poop break in their shit house and catch up each day! I know you’ll be eating like a king, relieve yourself!

I'll put a TM slap on it.

Funny you say that, right before you lose cell service, I always get a "welcome to Mexico" text from Verizon, it's that close. But nothing at the lake or campground.

As far as shit house, only Forest Service pit toilets there. Besides, do you think I am some sort or savage or something? I've got my own personal elongated, chair height, porcelain shitter in my trailer. And, yes, I will run my generator and AC whilst I poop so I can do so in perfect comfort.

I thought all the camper sites were full hookup as far as power and water?
I’m almost sure I dropped a sweet Mr hanky in one of the bath houses? Maybe that’s why people yelled at me?

Nope. All State parks are usually full hook ups. Parker is National Forest, so only pit toilet and one water spigot. Same as Mt. Lemmon, National Park, no hook ups.

Na, it's all good. Just goes to show that it has been way too long since you've been to Parker, which just means way more reason that you need to find a way to swing by and have a beer and/or whiskey with me.

The shit at work continues. They finally gave me some year round help, but it's a 66 year old transfer from Boston Water supply that has broken 2 mowers and a hedge trimmer his first two weeks. He doesn't understand we operate differently than watershed and was upset when I told him he has to fix what he breaks, we don't have an onsite mechanic. It's going to be a long 3 years until he hits retirement. Might be time to finally repair all the body parts I've broken over the years, and take some good time off

I also am starting to see 22's around here. I tried to give them a chance, but I really just don't like them. I don't know what I'll be moving into when it's time.

I wonder if part of the reason I'm not a huge fan of the 22s is because the one I see most is my neighbour's Lunar Rock. I can't believe anyone would choose to buy a baby vomit-coloured truck. :crapstorm:
