    Hi, I know this is a bit old but I wanted to get it out there that I installed the TKP Touch Key Pad by Toyota pn 00016-00506-DL on my 2017 (It is now 2022) Toyota Tundra Crewmax Limited WITHOUT memory seats. Yes, all functions operate. The directions that can be down loaded online from SouthEast Toyota Distributors but they are 42 pages long and have incorrect info for the 2017 Tundra I have.
    Here are my suggestions, they are only suggestions. Use at your own risk.
    I purchased my setup from Sparks Parts https://www.sparksparts.com/p-touch-keypad-entry-system-0001600506dl and I paid $146 plus shipping.
    Good pages:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11
    Pages 12,13,14,15,16,17,18 contain instructions for the pad installation on the window. They call out Toytoa jigs that cannot be found. I ran all the cables and installed pad where I wanted and it looks fine.
    Page 19. On my 2017 NJ2 is White but the colors are different. I used Light Green for the Lock and Pink for the UNLOCK. NJ@ is below the blue plug. If I remember the LT Green is on pin 4 not 5. Just go by the colors.
    Page 20. J130 is the rear drop down windows switch plug that is mounted on the lower dash. This is where you pick up ACC power (not constant 12 but when the ignition is on)
    Page 21 TKP Harness pin out- 1-Power PINK to ODBII adapter, 2-Lock-P Light BLUE to Light Green on trucks, 3- UNLOCK White to truck Pink 4-ACC to rear window connector 5- Ground BLACK go to ODBII connector.
    Page 22 to 27 is a mess they didnt seem to apply to me
    28 is the ODBII adapter. You need this for 12vdc power and Ground
    Page 29,30,31,32,33,34 are just how to zip tie the wires, you can do this any way you want as long as it is secure and doesn't interfere with anything else.
    35 is reattaching the battery. Be sure to clean the +/- terminals while youre in there. Why not.
    Pages 36 and 37 are programming and usage guides.
    Not sure whats up with 38,39,40,41,42 and 43 I didn't need them myself.
    Knowing what I just wrote would have saved my 2 hours of looking at schematics and testing and fretting.

    You're the man (or woman, lol)! I appreciate your input for this. I'm going to have to verify this information at some point with mine. It looks exactly like the information I need. I currently have mine set up kind of janky as stated in one of my earlier posts where only the unlock works and the lock does not and I'm betting it's probably because of where I have it connected to.

    Glad I could help. The Toyota directions were in some aspects well written but lacking details in places you could really use them. The fact that one cannot find where NJ2 connector is located on the kick panel is odd to me when some of the really basic steps like using a zip tie were weirdly specific. At one point in my career I worked for an aerospace company writing installation guides for the training of technicians on the installation of digital fuel systems on commercial aircraft and I would not have written these instructions like they did. Never assume the installer knows what you know. Not like they tried to pare it down, it is 42-43 pages long. My next install is on the wife's new 2022 Tacoma. I am installing the tailgate locking mechanism that will lock the tailgate when you lock the doors. On the 2022 Tacoma's the physical key is in the key fob and the truck as push button start so taking the key out of the fob is a PITA. Yes, we both have hard top bed covers. Yes, this is a Toyota branded set of parts that I bought from Southeast Toyota for around $150.
    Let me know if the wire colors worked out for you.I've attached the wiring diagram that I referred to in the post.

    Hi, I don't see any reason why not. The keypad needs constant power, ACC power, Ground and lock and unlock wires. Does the truck have keyless remote to lock/unlock the doors? If so it should work, I suspect the info I provided will be the same as your 2016. Not like you need to cut anything and cause permanent damage. I have been using my keypad often, I like it.

    Resurrecting this thread. Bought the kit and installed on my 2014 SR5. Similar to g6t9ed, my unlock seems to be working ok, but lock does not. I'm using pins 4 and 14 on the NJ2 connector. Not really sure what the issue could be, but I can lock the doors with the door switch so it's better than nothing. Random thing, has anyone had an issue where the key does not lock/unlock the driver side door at the handle?

    I don't recollect ever having this issue but I haven't physically put my key through the door lock in quite some time. I think the last time I did was to try out and see if it would automatically roll down the windows and I think that was before the touchpad install. Check to see if your spare key does the same. I'm wondering if maybe you have an issue localized at the lock since, I assume, you can lock/unlock through the switch or fob.

    I am intrigued and never knew this was available. Doesn’t seem like anyone has it in stock and eBay is $350…..anyone know where to get them a little cheaper? And most that I have seen don’t have 2019 listed as an option…..

    Looks like Sparks Parts has this available for a little more than $150. Same one that I purchased. As far as I'm aware, this is compatible with all 2.5 gen Tundras. It just takes some interpretation on which wires to tap into depending on your year model.

    As far as the door issues, it's pretty strange. Because I can't lock with the keypad, I tried locking the door using the door lock on the driver door, the button works, but when I close the door the driver door remains unlocked while the other doors do get locked. If I try to manually push the lock at the handle it moves, but when I close the door it does not lock. If I use the key fob the driver door does lock, but it has to be closed to use the fob. I can however go to the passenger door and use that lock. When I do that I can close the passenger door and it remains locked. I have tried multiple keys in the driver door and same result. My only real concern is if my batter were to die, I'd be locked out of the truck...
