Honestly, out of all the existing exhausts out for our trucks, I still haven’t heard anything that sounds as good as just deleting the OEM muffler. There’s a couple videos on YouTube and they sound better than the magnaflow and corsa options imo.
And with these trucks being turbo there should be no power loss at all from deleting the muffler.

    Sounds better than the carven

To be honest, the two muffler delete videos I've heard sound better than both the Carven and Magnaflow options IMO.

Thinking hard about just letting a local shop chop mine out and weld a section in it's place and put a nice black tip on. It would be a fraction of the price as the Carven or Magnaflow kits too. lol

*insert opinions of people who don't own a 2022*

Did we get through that? Cool. Glad that's over.

I was actually googling this today. I don't have Facebook so I couldn't see that group. I was hoping to see a YouTube vid about this. Hopefully someone posts a link soon.

^^^ Not sure I follow the comment. I'm looking into 22s and deciding if I'm going to make the jump. From a purely sound standpoint the V8 is better than the V6. I'm interested in the best plans to optimize the exhaust note.

I've always thought that having the least back pressure was the best plan for a turbo... However I'm down to optimize.

Yup watched this one. Haven't looked lately but used to be that NHRA considered turbos a muffler. It's interesting that you can hear the perturbation of the turbos in the exhaust.

I went to a local muffler shop, removed the muffler and added a 21 inch muffler instead, rewelded it and it sounds alright. I feel like I should of done a muffler delete now.

With my setup, it's not too loud. It almost sounds factory TRD PRO. I pulled a trailer with it and no headaches. It was smooth. It sounds the nicest when the turbo whistles around 1700rpm to 2300rpm.

Can you post a short video and share what muffler you went with? Something to give some more sound to the exhaust is one of the next things I want to do, just not 100% sure what to do yet.

Ok. Weird that you want to know what I think about a vehicle that I don't own, but I'll share because you asked nicely.

Talk over exhaust options with an expert to know what you can expect from any mods you might make. I'd suggest asking Keith at @dirtydeeds because he's honest, knows his stuff, and will steer you toward the best option for whatever you are after even if it's not anything he sells. If you want sound without causing issues he can probably guide you to what you want.

I tried sharing my video here and I'm not too sure how to do it. I have a Samsung S22 when I'm on this forum. I have a few clips but they're all videos from snapchat in my phone that are in my gallery. If anyone can help me, I'd gladly help. If not, private message me and we can arrange something.
