I agree but after more thought. I believe they put chrome on the "TRD OR" bumper, grill and black plastic flairs so scratches don't happen as easy. I really wanted a Sport but also want the 6.5 bed in a CM. Settled for an OR and just gonna color match myself.

Fair enough... I will be going higher with the suspension eventually, so starting with an already lowered suspension just to get color matched body pieces didn't make enough sense... Luckily enough, I've heard the "satin" chrome is much more paintable than regular, so if my wrapping job sucks ass, I can always get them matched...

I will eventually be going up as well. I didn't want even the TRD OR but I wanted the elec locking rear .

Truck looks good. I ran wheel spacers on my last Tundra with factory wheels. Probably gonna do the same on the 22 when it comes in. Unless you spend a lot on high end wheels, I tend to see factories balance better. Might have to hunt for some 20's like yours vs the 2 tone 18's mine will come with.

Thank you! It rides great still extremely smooth. Little more road noise and you feel the small bumps slightly more with the load E tires but nothing to complain about. I actually like it more now because it feels like a truck instead of a car. Tires balanced great too, almost no weights.

My truck had the bolts already on the truck. I would check yours to see if they came installed from the factory.

Hours away now... got the call yesterday while golfing on a little work retreat. The next 3-4 holes didn't go well, cause all I wanted to do was get back home and go get the truck.

Put my deposit down in March. Truck was build May 23/24th. Got on the train May 26th. Arrived at the dealership at 10:21 June 16th.
Toyota Tundra Platinum Supersonic Red. 4x4, crewmax, 6.5ft bed, advance package and power running boards. I also got the all weather floor mats. Not sure if they did the spray in bed liner. It wasn't on the build sheet but I asked for it. I won't be mad if it isn't done, I will be more then fine with the rubber bed mat instead. Pics soon! 2 hours from getting there and signing the paperwork.

Super excited for you. Also can't WAIT to see pics. That is the exact same spec that I ordered. Mine was built on 4/29... still just sitting in TX from what I can tell. But I will be happy for you and not bitter that mine is taking forever haha

Just brought home my Limited DC, and couldn’t be happier with it (so far)! Was also about the best, easiest dealership experience I’ve ever had.

Got back into finance and of course they had a spread of add-ons to throw at me. Told the guy I was going to be upfront with him that I wasn’t interested is anything other than an extended warranty, and that I was only getting that if he could match my quote from another dealer.

He said “Fair enough”, and ran a sharpie through everything but the warranty… No pitch on GAP, Paint Protection, Wheels & Tires, Maintenance, etc.

Proceeds to quote me $3450 for 8yr/100k Platinum… Told him I’d have to pass, that I would be taking the other offer of 10yr/100k for less than half that… His jaw literally dropped and he didn’t know what to say… Told me they couldn’t be making a dime off the deal, and he didn’t know if he could match it… Walked out and came back 2 min later asking if I’d do $50 over their quote to stay with them… Because the experience was so great thus far, I agreed…

In and out of the dealership in less than 2 hours, no haggling or upselling, and a happy customer…

It is very nice looking and glad to hear in person it is even better. Good old puyallup huh! Glad someone in WA state is getting their trucks. I’m over on the eastern side with @TJCooke and we are both just waiting and waiting and waiting…

I don’t want this to make you less hopeful, but the lady handling my signing told me that our region up here, which consists of 76 Toyota dealers, was supposed to get 4000 trucks and it was cut to 2000. She said COVID has actually gotten worse as far as production since this last round hit a ton of people. The owner did make sure to get his Capstone though.

476BBEB3-CF57-4BC4-8AFB-7BF36105E405.jpg Sorry for the craptacular pic folks, I can add more soon. Build date was 5/10, dealership told me late June so I figured July. I got a call June 1st and was pleasantly surprised.
coming from essentially the same truck but a 2021, the 2022 has been smooth, similar power with a bit different off the line response, huge tech improvements and with the crewmax and 6.5 bed it is very spacious. I have had 2 different double cabs before and was happy but the added cab space is incredible. 900 miles first week without any issues. I don’t drive that much usually but the dealership was over the mountain and the same week we had a college graduation and a celebratory weekend on the OR coast. I am in love with the new truck. Enjoy

That looks like exactly the spec & color I'd order. Looks great, and congrats on the new rig! Nice also that you had such a painless dealership experience. All the dealers I've found here in SoCal have egregious markups, so I'll be waiting until the supply/demand ratio gets back toward normal. Probably next year at the rate things are going.

Thanks! Having come from a 14 DC, I really wanted to get a CM for the extra room, but finding one exactly equipped and color I want was impossible… luckily the new DC, while smaller in the back seat than gen 2.5, is not all that noticeable, at least for my family… It was made to be a huge deal online and in reviews, but overblown to me…

2022 TRD Pro. Second drive, first image (also posted on the new member forum). Picked it up at the dealership Friday. Three quick observations. First, it’s not as squatty as it looks. The truck makes a MUCH better impression live, but tough to tell from this angle. You know it’s not running on monster beef, but it’s really solid on the stock wheels and tires. Second, this Solar Octane color doesn’t really look like the ads, or even like this photo. :) Unlike the overall truck first impression above, this color photographs better than it actually looks. :) It’s growing on me for sure, but at first sight it’s sort of an overwhelming neon tangerine color, less fire orange than this pic reflects. It will inspire an “omg what have I done” reaction in more than a few. Live, it’s flatter than in the print materials, the metallic is barely noticeable, and there’s not a hint of rust or bronze. This thing is a kind of ungodly weird BRIGHT orange. So be careful. And third, the observation that counts (more to follow as I get more time behind the wheel), this is one heck of a truck. Acceleration is as advertised. And out in the desert, opening up on some washboards and rocky road, the combination of power and the new suspension was legit. Kinda felt like a hydrofoil. :). Didn’t get a serious slow technical test, but did have a good slower stretch of pretty serious chunk and some good deep sand, all easily handled. Best rough road experience I’ve ever had. Not enough miles to talk mileage or paved road handling yet, but this machine so far is clearly built to perform. I like it. A lot. :)
