Just ordered mine finally. Claims to be here in 2 weeks. Sorry if I missed this on another thread but does anyone have a link for the 3amber lights and light bar? I really don't need either one, would be ok without lights but would really like to at least have the 3 amber lights. Thanks in advance!

Several popped up for me but the one I ordered from was one in New Hampshire. I will have to look up exactly which one. They basically told me there were like 64 of them coming to dealers right now and I would have it in about 2 weeks. I live in NC.

So, i got my grille finally, working on the camera bracket, had to stop was going cross-eyed staring at the computer,

    @Jr3volution, @ByeF150HelloTundra

i found some mini marker lights that i thought might fit the grille, and it turns out they do!
now they may not be as fancy as the OEM ones, but they work and was cheap to do.

oem ones fill the entire little area and have a slope to em on the front, and has that +75 HP sticker on the back of them
    [IMG]

    what i installed,

    Soooooooooo,

Tools Needed: *if you do the same as me,
    Drill
Drill Bit Set, mainly 9/16, and a 5/32 for a few of them
Some way to cut the bar stock, hacksaw, jigsaw, circular saw, porta band, cutoff wheel, die grinder with cutoff wheel, or i used an angle grinder with cutoff wheel
some form of grinder, bench grinder, angle grinder with flap disc, etc..
Bench vise is handy to have to bend the aluminum all purty like
    Hammer!
    Marker
    Tape Measure
Miscellaneous hand tools, pliers vice grips etc..
    electrical terminal connector assortment
    optional:
soldering iron, solder, heat shrink tubing
    plastic wire loom
    electrical tape

Remember your PPE! Don't lose an eye!

i went and saw my good buddy Homer at the Depot, (home depot for those who don't care for my bad jokes)
Picked up a piece of 1/8 in x 1in x 3 ft aluminum flat bar stock, cost $8.00
    [IMG]

got the marker lights, 3 holes, 3 total... , yes i know they aren't led, i don't particularly care, $4.00 ea so $12.00
    [IMG]

also picked up some screws, this is what i used, use whatever you want, went with stainless as i live in the rust belt, this pack was $6.00
    [IMG]

now on to the fun part,

i cut my flat bar at 24 inches as i wanted to have it overhang past the letters a bit on the sides so i know there would be support

after i cut it, i took and laid the bar in above the letters and put the lights into place where i thought that they looked good,
i then used a marker to mark out the base where the lights sit as you can't mark from top down, once the bases were marked i pulled it back off and used the marker light as a guide to mark the screw holes, then drilled them all with the 9/16ths drill bit.

i then put the marker lights on the bar and used the screws to attach them,
CAUTION - you go Hee Hawin on the screw your going to strip the aluminum where the screw is cutting the threads

once the lights were screwed on, i then went and used a grinder to grind the screws flush on the bottom side of the bar or else it would not fit back in the spot at all

after the lights were mounted i test fit again and all was kosher,
took the leftover 1ft piece of bar stock and made 2 brackets by bending and cutting it, no real measurements here, i just made some that worked, they don't look the best, but they will hold it to the grille
used 2 screws from the top of the bar down into the brackets i made, i used the 5/32nds drill bit for those holes for the screw to go through, and then used the 9/16ths on the bracket holes for them to cut threads into, these don't have to be ground down.

after the mounting brackets were done only thing left was wiring,
these particular marker lights use a "body" ground
    [IMG]

so wire all the black wires from the lights to power,+12v, "hot" whatever you want to call it
i wired all mine together in a chain instead of 3 individual wires, you can use whatever you want to attach them together(except scotch locks - don't use those for anything they are terrible)
me, i soldered my wires together and used some heat shrink tubing
then i attached a ring terminal to a black wire for ground and used one of the bracket screws to hold it to the aluminum
    [IMG]

used a couple pieces of electrical tape to secure wires to the bar itself before i stuck it back in, could use plastic loom if you want.

used 2 of the screws to screw the brackets to the grille!
    and finish!

    yep sure thing,

you know what they say " first taste is free", get ya hooked!

think this is the second time i have made a heart or two flutter, first time was getting the grille light bar to turn on without the factory connector

i have another mod for the grille as well, but not quite done with it yet

print to fit those holes, nah thats thinking tooo much

i would get some of this and a heat gun, cut it larger than the light hole opening, use the heat gun to make it an L shape to go up the back of the hole, then drill two holes in the top of the grill and use some Pop rivets to hold it on, and then attach that light to the piece,

    but thats just me

Would any of you guys be willing to share where you’re tapping into as far as power ground, etc for your lights?

And I mean like share in the most absolute basic of basic ways for those of us who don’t know squat about electrical stuff. Lol

Maybe also how to go about wiring to a switch in cab if desired?
