Building harnesses for the SS3s with Zach, aka Falcor. Pretty sure he’s ready for a fetch break.
I found a link on this forum for the overhead console switches, mine shorted out a while ago. In the meantime I just used a spade to connect the positive and negative posts for when the doors are open. The new switch fit perfectly, hopefully it checks out when this gets mounted again.
Modified the interior plastic a little to fit the 6 connector harness, everything should fit nicely when zip tied in. I’m mostly worried about hiding the wiring between the console and the A pillar behind the headliner. If you have suggestions, I’m all ears. We’ll cross that bridge when it’s time.

The new dome light switch works!! Wiring through the headliner was no big deal, through the A pillar and through the dash was easy peasy. I’m glad because most of the work went to the overhead console and wiring harnesses. Under hood wiring needs to be tidied up a bit towards the firewall, but everything turned out the way I wanted. Can’t wait for some night shots tonight!

Appreciate the fact that when you do something it's not just "done," it's done right, and then some. There's a ton of thought and attention to detail. I may try to mimic some of the less intricate mods in the future; cool to have a "blueprint" for success.

Old rock lights out, new rock lights in. I’ve used these more than once around the truck and they’ve proven their reliability time and time again. Install is a pain in the butt for rock lights. But I’ll actually use these now, since they’re brighter than the old ones. Two in each fender well. The last two photos’ brightness was toned down because the DRLs washed out.
I also removed the mammoth guards. During the Vegas trail trip, they got ripped from their mounts. They may stay removed. I love them, but they’ve just been a pain.

Well, the wife wasn’t happy, but I’m picking these up today. Pro Comp Pro Runner 2.5 coilovers. Brand new in-box, $450!! I had to jump on them to upgrade from my 5100s. AD909B07-7DFE-4626-8148-38A6E143840D.jpg

Got em! These things are beefy!! They were purchased at an off-road convention, Pro Comp was there, this is what the seller (I’ve known him quite some time) told me:
“Ok so the guy from Pro comp told me they are pretty much the same design as the trd pro ones. Since they hired the guy who designed them for Toyota. These are supposed to have better tuning.”
Can’t wait to get them installed, I can’t convince myself to do it myself, and I don’t have a second pair of hands. I did the very first level on this truck, just a pair of hockey pucks, and it kicked my ass. So we’ll see if I can get on the schedule next week.

Prepping for the coilovers. They get installed on Saturday, alignment is right across the street. Did the brakes and kicked myself for not picking up a new can of heat paint for the calipers. I figured out why the mammoth guards failed, the UCA hits them at full droop. So they got trimmed, and I used Aircraft Remover to strip them all the way down to the metal. It worked great, even took off the old shitty powdercoat. They’ll get a new coat and maybe a different paint scheme. So we’re gonna give them another go.

I don't know; not sure I can get behind the coilovers not being painted to match. I mean, not even the springs? Interesting...

@AZBoatHauler That Sir, was uncalled for. I believe that this is not only an affront to polite society but I am also afraid that I will have to fill out a "hurt feelings report" forthwith. You will be unhappy to find out that you Sir, will be named specifically in Part II - The Incident Report section, question E: "Name of the person who hurt my pansy ass feelings." I may also have to drag Tundras.com into the proceedings under part II, question C: "Location of Hurtful Comments." Much like those cancelled in society for simply stating things that are true, apologies will get you nowhere and will only rob you of any dignity you may have left after my scathing report is filed with whomever I am supposed to be filing it with. Good day Sir, good day.
