Wrapped the glossy black near the shifter, silver mustache, and the silver cup holder trim with forged metallic carbon fiber wrap from metro restyling.

That looks amazing. Did you buy the wrap from Metro and do it yourself or did they install

That looks awesome. One of the very minor small complaints I have with the 22 is that gloss black trim on the console. I will definitely be looking at doing something similar when mine finally arrives.

Saw a 1794 with wood trim that looked pretty good. Wonder if they could wrap with a high quality wood finish on shiny black console and door trim.

Actually I would pay for an actual walnut wood trim replacement. That would be sweet.

this 1794 has the same gloss black, or at least looks like it, surround. this is the part i would have liked wood finished.

hardest part was the shift knob removal. I did it differently. You can push the pins out from the back side of the knob instead of whatever he did above pushing the clip out.

Nice work! You have previous vinyl wrapping experience I take it? How would you rate the difficulty? I've wrapped a lot of interior bits before in my WRX, but it's been a few years.

Lol I wrapped the front mustache, the lower bumper caps, rear bumper caps, and that piece that says “tundra” but that’s it as far as experience. Those did not turn out too pretty (good enough for now though) bc it was my first time wrapping and I’d say they were very difficult to do by yourself solely on their size.

These interior pieces were nothing compared to the exterior pieces. Very flat. Easy contours to match with heat and your fingers with minimal stretching of the wrap, other than the cutouts where the buttons/shifter come through. Those needed some interesting cutting/stretching.

Uh oh... Have zero experience here also, but planned to grab some color match APA vinyl and try my hand at the front and rear chrome pieces... Still think $80 is worth the gamble, but this doesn't give me much hope haha...

Do it if you like to get pissed off and learn from new experiences! I’m planning on doing a full front bumper in the future so I’m just gonna live with my wrinkly wrap job lol. This thing ain’t competing in any auto shows.

Always looking for an excuse to get pissed and cuss a little... If you have a second and don't mind, I'd love to see some closer shots of any "problem areas" to be aware of... Can DM if don't want to post them on here...

there wasn’t anywhere specific that was very difficult. Just know that heat is your friend and don’t be afraid to stretch that stuff to get it to lay flat. If it doesn’t look good, pull it off. Heat it to reform it but not so much to damage it. If you have a second pair of hands to hold the plastic as you stretch and Lay the wrap, it will be much easier.
Buy extra to waste as you try it out.

APA. Get ready for like $30 shipping on those. You can see some of the imperfections of my wrap job in this pic. The color is as close as you can get.

I've heard they are the closest in color... Looks like they have a gloss and satin version, with the satin specifically referring to Toyota models in the description... Last question then I'll leave you alone (maybe)... Did you wrap with everything left in place, or pull them? Gut tells me pulling would be easier for a newb, but unsure, as I am a newb...

I wouldn’t want to do it all leaving it on the truck but I also don’t know how you’d do that, if anyone has. Maybe it’s easier!?
I pulled it all apart. I think I left it apart for like 2 days over a weekend while I messed with it

I've watched a few videos online of actual wrap shops wrapping full vehicles and seen some leave the grille and bumpers on while doing it... Granted they are pros, so maybe with experience it's easy enough to save the time dismantling... I plan to remove regardless...

Did any of the interior bit you wrapped get any seams or are they all single piece?

The inside trim silver mustache piece got a seam because I had 1foot wide wrap. The seams down low and not noticeable but if I did it again I’d get 2 foot wide.

Was this the APA forged carbon? I'm hesitant on purchasing because shipping to me is $40 USD.
