Amazon just dropped off a Greadio MD-T26 AM/FM/SW. $33. 4xD batteries or AC 110. Not rechargeable. Grabbed the Jackery 240wh. Only drawing 6 watts. Camp radio. Big ass speaker. Only 2W but is loud....

Only have used it with my dedicated system. It has a 100 amp/hour battle born lithium battery. However I have not used the CPAP in the truck for a long time and have just been using breath-rite strips instead. `My sleep seems to be about the same as using the CPAP at home but it probably is not as good as when using it. Have just been lazy about taking it with me and having to set it up. Probably should remedy this.

So I don't have any current data on how much power the CPAP uses. I do remember when I did use it I turned off the humidity and the heater on the CPAP and it didn't use a lot of power.

If you contact Rockpals.....tell them which make/model of CPAP you have. Do it!

Great thread. I've been thinking about setting up such a system. Has anyone done any data logging on how much power their fridge/freezer setups consume in an average day?

Didn’t log the power usage throughout the day but I did test a ICECO fringe with an EcoFlow River Pro (approx 700w) and it ran the fringe in Eco mode for over 3 days.

    Installed in 5th wheel:

4 x 100W Renogy Panels, Renogy Rover 40 SCC that charge 2 x 12V 100AH Renogy LiFePo4 batteries. Renogy 3000W inverter with a GoPower transfer switch that feeds 4 outlets in the RV. Perfect setup

Sure thing. Here's a gew while still installing/thinkering...

Ended up putting 2 sets in series and paralleled those together. The LiFePo4 batteries are spendy but well worth it. Buy once cry once... And it's all Bluetooth these days so you can monitor it all. Also do appropriate research on proper wire gauges and fuses, do not skimp on those please. As for inverter to battery fuse on the + line, I used a 400A class T fuse and 4/0 wire...

I can use a coffee maker, vacuum cleaner, TV and even the a/c (must have soft start capacitor) on the battery bank using the inverter...

Quite nice. I like the idea of two sets in series and then paralleled together. Nifty Rover MPPT controller! Renogy offers a lot of options and flexibility when setting up a permanent system. Quality stuff.

Nice! That's the same charge controller I have on the truck, Renogy makes good things.

So I have the blue tooth module hooked up to mine. My blue tooth interface looks nothing like your screen shots. I wonder what I can do to get that program?

I paralleled up my two Rockpals 60W solar panels to my 79% charged Jackery 240. 120W total in an ideal world. Individually both panels were putting out 47W to 50W. 94W to 100W in parallel. Same voltage of course but twice the current. My DMM read up to 21V and 5.09 amps across the DMM 10A shunt. 106.9W. Not bad at all.. Jackery's built-in MPPT controller is properly regulating panel inputs to the 65W max. 62W to 64W initially. Dropped to 60W now that the Jackery is at 92%. The MPPT should cut off input at 97% or so. Basically 18% to 20% gain in a 1/2 hour. Not bad. My 100W RP100 Rockpals panel will be here Monday along with my Rockpals "Freeman" 600W. Can't wait to test that combo out. I'll prolly grab another 100W Rockpals panel to use in parallel with the other 100W. There will be various discounts on Rockpals site. Their Lithium ion battery 1300W station is on sale at around $900 for Father's Day now.. Waiting for a LiFeP04 version.
Input dropped to 45W at 99%. Disconnected panels. Quite pleased with this lil Jackery 240 and the Rockpals panels.

FedEx just dropped off my Rockpals 100W solar panel and 600W Rockpals Freeman power station with LiFeP04 internal battery pack. Panel cranking out 71W. No clouds but smoke haze isn't helping any. Freeman was at 68% charge. Timing it now to see how long to charge it "full".

The Freeman came with a nice accessory pouch containing the AC charger, 12V DC input cable, and a Anderson over/under to Anderson side by side connector cable. A nice to have.

2.75 hours. 97% now from 68%. 63 watt draw at the moment. Quite pleased. FYI, the three covered ACV outlets are on the rear.

F40C4TMP 20qt refer/freezer connected to 12V DC outlet. Cooling down to 32F. Drawing around 45W or so which it should indicate until target temp is reached. FYI...using DC port is slower to reach target temp than using the AC port. Same with my Jackery 240. Use AC in your house to pre-chill refer/freezer to desired temp before you head out then switch to "vehicle " 12V outlet until you get to your destination, then connect to your power station of choice/need.

    DIWhy battery box

8 cell agm in parallel, 14ga wire fused, to on off switch, to terminal strips. Power goes in/out from there. I believe its 40-45 Amp hours. From talking with various people smarter than I, it should be relatively safe.

Renogy mppt charge controler and 100watt panel is plenty to run dometic 45 fridge forever with sun and runs if for about 35 hours without solar.

Used “Deans” Rc car connectors for easy in/out power connections and can make pigtails for quick connect to things like 12v auto outlet, inverter or lights.

Used a weather proof HD boating box and ABS union/elbow for ventilation so it can sit out in the rain without issue.

this nugget powers our little campers maxair vent, Dickinson stove fan and lights and Bluetti eb150 sits in the truck with the cfx45 because bears.

There has to be more members here using portable power stations whether used with a solar panel or not when out and about. I'm trying go mostly solar power station on my off grid property. Ideal for dispersed camping whether for a weekend or extended outing too. CPAP users! 1st responders that need temp power in remote or disaster situations before the generators show up if at all. Several example setups have been posted here already. I've checked Renogy's site. Wow! Lots of high tech options for permanent setups on your truck camper, RV trailer, topper! There are so many brands out there and it might be confusing at first to determine what you need. Permanent setup? Renogy has engineers that will be more than happy to help you out. For Free....I plan on putting up a decent sized shed on my off grid property by next summer. I want to have substantial power available in the shed. The Renogy solar panels are actually quite affordable but....the batteries are not cheap and the required MPPT controller, wiring etc. I'm really so much interested in this....

I looked at the first picture easily 7 times before I actually saw the batteries.
And that setup is 45ah total or per cell?

Renogy batteries do go on sale from time to time. They recently released their 100ah battery with heating element and Bluetooth. The intro price was 349 (maybe 399?) which is about as cheap as it gets (I think).

Definitely cool stuff for sure. I’m trying to land a piece of property on a hillside that has stream running through it. If you think researching solar is interesting, take a peek at diy homeowner hydroelectric. It’s unbelievable

$349 is not bad at all! Hydro? Make sure you have a year round stream.. You might as well post up here your research into homeowner hydro! Not really off topic at all. Water to produce power instead of the sun. Works for me!
