    I spent the weekend with my college roommates from 25 years ago visiting our old haunts, drinking too much, catching up (one hasn’t been back to the school since we graduated), and polishing it off by sampling all of the home brew beers we brewed in 1997/1998 (one guy had saved one bottle of each).
    It was a great time…but I need about three days to sleep and recover.

    Looks like she moved to Austin. We heard from a friend at DPS that she had tried to get an drivers license with our home as the physical address and her new PO Box in Austin as the mailing address. She was using her auto insurance card as proof of address. They have her account flagged so she has to show a utility bill with our address on it. She got pissed and asked if the deed would do. They said "Yep." She stormed off and they updated it so she'll have to show a current utility bill with her name and our address on it. We've already contacted the city and they have our utility account flagged.

    That was Thursday the 9th. On Saturday, we received a letter to a "Joe" with the last name close to ours from her (her husband or former husband). She says she's moved to Austin with her cousin and gives his name. She also asks for him to forward all of her mail we've received to her new post office box and says she's opening up an account at a new bank. "If that doesn't work, I guess I'll be homeless in Austin." The letter was dated the 6th but it was postmarked on the 9th. I'm wondering if she wrote it and sent it after she was denied a drivers license.

    Every time we get a bank statement for her, or a letter confirming a change of address from our home to her new post office box, I call the bank and tell them she never lived here. I'm assuming they keep flagging her account. The new bank she mentioned opening an account at is 300 ft from our home. I just finished walking over there and asking them to please flag anything with our address on it.

    I think the letters to her husband are a false flag to try to throw us off or she's just freaking crazy. I've thought about sending her a certified letter telling her to Cease and Desist but most likely she'll just end up doing this to somebody else. I have our credit locked down, the post office watching for any change of addresses, our mortgage company's security is rock solid, and the yard and house are secure (short of a mine field).

    All I can do is wait for her next move.

    I know! I don't quite understand any of it or the reasoning. As far as I can tell, she hasn't tried to open any accounts in my name. I'm kinda wondering if she's going to try to rent our house on craigslist or something but that would entail somebody coming here... Weird shit. Story of my life.
