Grille Interchangeable?

well here's mine
waiting on the clip to print that's going to hold the connector to the light housing

two 3/4 inch rubber firewall grommets i found at O'reilly auto parts and the only connector they had on shelf, little overkill but meh works for me

you’re making me look bad haha. Also used a grommet but just soldered the wires directly to my TriggerSix controller wires and just taped it up so it’s safe during install

 

I noticed you drilled your hole slightly differently than Brums, was it easy to unplug the white plug drilling just the one hole?

 

No, I couldn’t position my tool in a way to remove the plug, so I just cut the wires. Was nice to just have one hole though

 

My not-so-fancy solution for the shutters. Just got some long M6 bolts and screwed them into the factory nuts. Should’ve used a spacer or something to keep the shutter from sliding forward but just ended up zip-tying instead.
Light works great though

Also, forgot to mention, when I re-ordered, they sent me an all black one like yours (instead of the chrome one I had originally)

 

nah that looks fine

 

think you should take a trip to the hardware section of lowes or home depot and get some steel or nylon (preferably) spacer bushings
if you do go, normally these are in the big plastic container bins where they have like shelf pins and all the small stuff

 

probably could use something like these, i have a pair that helped not lose the wire when i cut them off the plug

 

how big of a spacer do you think we would need?

I finally got my grille in today and will on with y’all’s route to have it wired up.

many advice on a spacer length and bolt length?
Also screw size to mount the light bar to grille?

i ordered mine on Apr 30th and still don't have it

 

I was one of those impatient guy that ordered from theyotagarage and 2 other dealerships near by. And was going to cancel whoever when one was shipped

 

i see, i refuse to pay that price, i would like to know how the sumbitch got a bunch of grilles to resell but i can't get one, and i know i ordered mine way before they ever started selling them or came out with that video

 

its a miracle, finally got notification that my grille shipped, ordered 4/30 shipped 6/15, coming out of CA
parts guy told me yesterday the warehouse in CA was supposed to get 87 of them, might call your dealers and see if they show any in stock

 

Can anyone with the new TRD Pro grille confirm if the "TOYOTA" letters can be remove for painting please? Thank you in advance

Haven’t gotten to install the camera yet as the platinum bracket doesn’t allow it to mount anywhere

For the shutter spacer I used
6 x M6-1.0x60mm
6 1/4in washers
1 pipe (1/2in x 1/16in x 36in) that was cut up into the 6 spacers needed
If you can find an M6 screw in 1.0x55, that would be the perfect length.
