I would, fuck that for 65-70 K driving around like the windows are open.

the truck I test drove had wind noise from the windshield area.

Im really hoping they come out with a real fix soon as Im waiting to purchase

Absolutely, it's a factory defect that has not been addressed. I did it for a GMC 4 years ago for less. Continue driving around in a cab that sounds like hurricane forced winds are outside or find something else. Easy choice

Mine continue to get worse. Both rear doors window Mouldings=leading edge lifted up and now acting like an intake scoop. I am going to bring it in next week.

Flood Toyota with this issue until they have no choice but to listen and take action.

So real quick I asked the dealer about this.

My tech told me Toyota is aware as they have brought up the complaint from other owners.

He mentioned it's coming from the mirror seam where the mirrors rotate to fold.

I didn't believe but my truck was down for the last few weeks with another issue and I just got it back 2 days ago.

Yesterday I was driving with the window fully down and could hear the whistle as clear as ever still, reached out while driving down the highway and started playing around with the mirror and the noise shifted/stopped depending on where I put my hand around that seam or pressure I put against the mirror body towards the truck.

Could anyone else try this too to confirm maybe?

Mine is an April built SR5 and hearing that barely audible (but annoying) whistle also. I was thinking it's the climate control noise thru vents??? As far as wind noise - this is my 4th Tundra and never had more than a whisper from any of them. It's obnoxious in this one at 70, and at 100 mph it's unbearable. Defo going to the dealer with the complaint. Wondering if it has something to do with aluminum doors flexing.

Update to issue… After 3 trips and 13 days at the dealership they finally acknowledged it was a real issue. Still not fixed but at least they admitted corporate was aware of the issue and working on a fix. The tech spoke with case manager and there is no timetable. Could be months away. Super frustrating but it sounds like Toyota is trying in earnest to figure it out and fix. FYI, I had a build date of December 2021 and took delivery in January.

Question for those of you with this issue, was it there from day 1, or has it popped up later on? I ask because my seals look like crap, but the truck is whisper quiet

Picked mine up 1/11. 12/11 build date . It was very quiet until approx 6 weeks ago. Driver side rear door is pulling out. Passenger side looks good. Wind noise increasing

The sound was there on day one. Aesthetics aside, the outside seals don’t appear to be the problem. They think it’s the internal weather stripping and door fitment.

From day 1. Have an appointment this Friday 6-10 to have both rear and driver door seals replaced at the dealership. I'll keep you guys posted.

It's not going to work most likely. I'm on case manager number 3 / have been calling every week for updates. Spoke to my local dealer and Toyota is most definitely working on the issue. From what I was told, the gasket for the window seal is way too thin. They are working on making them thicker and will most likely take some time.

Mine was very quiet for a few weeks, then the white noise started. I don’t think it’s as bad as others are experiencing, but it is annoying. Some days seem worse than others as well. Maybe the wind direction?

I’d think the thicker gaskets would help my issue for sure. My drivers side appear to fit differently than passenger side.

I picked up my '22 SR5 double cab 4x4 on May 5th (build date 4/13). Bought it in Phoenix and drove home to San Diego the next morning. Noticed the wind noise immediately at highway speed. There from day 1 and still just as prevalent today. I will be letting my local dealership service writer know about it.

Just please report this issue to Toyota directly. 800-331-4331. The more reports the faster this gets resolved, at least I hope. If I could pin/stamp this message to the top of this entire forum I would lol

I wonder why this is taking so long to fix, I mean the more trucks that come out the repair will cost more later when they have to retrofit tons of them

this is one of the biggest ones Im waiting to get resolved before I jump in

I've had my truck for just shy of 2 weeks and mine started whistling from the drivers side mirror today.

Just took my '22 Tundra in to the dealership that I bought it at (Envision Toyota of Milpitas) **Will never go back** for the Day 1 wind noise. Even before they looked at it, the service rep told me it was normal. So I guess a $65K vehicle is suppose to sound like you are always driving with the windows cracked open. Sure enough, their techs came back after their 12mi joy ride and reported that it was normal.
I also had 2 other issues I asked them to fix...rattling coming from the bed when going over rough road and very rough idle. They told me that the rattling was coming from the seat belt banging against the side. There is no F'ing way that the seat belt makes such rattling. I believe it is the tailgate that is rattling...cause you only hear it when the back window is down. Anyone else have this rattling?
Oh and of course the rough idling is "normal"...like the engine is about to shut off normal.
Man, I am still ticked off...sorry for the rant guys. I love everything else about the truck, but these issues are making it hard to stay devoted to Toyota. I wish I could go back to my 2019 Tundra.

Yeah, I plan to take it to another dealership (Stevens Creek Toyota). Hopefully they don't give the same BS...fingers crossed.

I just picked up my 2022 10 days ago and as I was driving away I heard a whistling noise after 45 mph. A few days later, I noticed the noise didn't change as I rolled the window down, except for the wind noise making it harder to hear. So I pulled the mirror in and the noise almost disappeared. So I 100% agree with you and think my whistling noise is coming from the mirror seam.

Does anyone have the TSB or any number to reference when calling Toyota, or talking to the dealership? Thanks in advance.

I was not given a TSB. They slapped me with a case number and a case agent. I finally found a reliable one who told me they are absolutely working on the issue.

They are specifically working on the gaskets/seals fitment in the window(s), and the whistle noise coming from the side mirrors.
