I ordered the "low" kit for the factory "only auto down" system. But the install video says the only difference is adding a wire for powering the "auto up." Since I put in the switch that now has auto up, I'm hoping I can just plug in the modules that came in the kit and be done. We'll see. Be nice for something to be really easy.

I wish you the best. Running the extra wire was definitely the most annoying part.

I called "no joy" after plugging in all the connectors and nothing worked. More effort than I was willing to expend to run that wire somewhere ??? in order to get to the battery. I notice he conveniently left that part out of his install video, smart move.

    Funny eh?

There is a rubber grommet in the driver footwell firewall, I poked a new hole around the perimeter of the grommet to run the lead to the positive post of the battery.

The grommet/rubber conduit from driver door to body is the real treat. Needed to poke my own hole on the body side while still routing thru the rubber boot into the door behind the speaker.

All worth it tho. Still one of my favorite mods.

So after trying this and it didn't work and not wanting to take the time to run the wire to the battery, i let it sit a few days. Kudos to COTundie for talking me off the ledge. So I went from a non-lighted driver window switch "pod" and only auto down on the driver front to a lighted switch and auto up AND down on all four windows AND got the bonus of all four windows up and down from the remote. Full disclosure, I did not run the power wire to the battery through the proper boot where the factory wire runs. I fished it through where the door check and hinges are, into the front fender and up and around to the battery. Going to wrap with a little rubber sheathing to keep it from getting wet where it is exposed between the fender and door. If it lasts, great; if it doesn't I regroup.

If you insert your key into the door lock and hold it in lock, the sunroof will close if it’s open.

If it’s closed you can put the key in the door lock and hold it to the unlock position and it will open it.

I tried to see if the windows would at least go down, but this only operates the sunroof.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

While using cruise you can hold the + or - instead of tapping to change the set speed.

I'll mess with it tomorrow. I think it's the same button sequence as the remote.

Interesting. I'll have to mess with that later. Makes sense that is would work though

That's awesome! Im so excited! Didnt even realize I HAD a sunroof!!! :D

My bimmer does this for closing the windows/roof, but not for opening. Kinda wish the remote would activate this.

Yep...the 3W works the same from the door lock button as it does with the remote.

Holy S$%&....new discovery! It works manually with the key in the door lock too

If you keep getting low tire pressure warning and 'all' your tires are properly aired, check your full size spare under the bed. That spare has pressure sensor as well and will bug you if it's under inflated.

Drove me poops with constant warnings until friend who doesn't even have a tundra told me to check the slare. After I filled it up, no more warnings! I was about to finally get ready and go check my sensors at the service shop..:annoyed:

Or just don't bother to reprogram the sensors when you swap tires so the light stays on all the time. :anonymous:

I'm doing it for my oil change intervals! Light cones on at 5k, but I change oil at 9-10k. Always keeps me on the edge that yellow "reqd.maint" light. I think this is a good practice to have some yellow lights on the dash; keeps you more vigilant!

    Locks itself.?

Working on a few things around the truck the other day, and it started locking itself every 2ish minutes.

Fairly certain it did not do this before (like an hour before), as I had my keys in the truck for a while.

... Not even sure if it's still doing it

If you unlock it with the remote but don't open a door, it will relock anywhere from 30 seconds to (maybe) 2 minutes later. I think that this time can be set via Techstream. If the key is in the ignition, the vehicle will not lock.

I've locked/unlocked/remote started my truck accidentally via unintentional button presses of the key fob while it's in my pocket and I crouch down or lean on something.

If you use the FOB to unlock but don't open a door in a certain amount of time (set in radio settings on my truck IIRC but my vary by model year) it will lock itself. Simple solution if you don't want it to do this is to unlock the truck, and then open a door. It will stay unlocked then.

    Thank you guys!

    All makes sense now.

Had the keys in my pocket and think I accidentally locked the truck. After unlocking, I never got back in the truck allowing this situation to present itself.

Only drawback is inability to leave the truck with the windows cracked and lock the doors. I've tried with the remote, with the door lock switch inside, with the key from outside, windows go all the way up each time it's locked. Not really a problem as I rarely left them cracked with all the pollen always in the air here in New Germany, sorry, "Jersey," and I can just roll em all down before I go out to cool down the hot cab.

Reviving an old thread here but I had to share my excitement LOL.
It's a nice summer night here in NM and I decided to take the Tundra out, rolled down all the windows for a cool night cruise. Little did I know all 4 windows are auto up and down on the 3rd gen! I've had my truck since April and barely realized this! Had to share sorry to all those that already know this...

True. It’s a little thing, but nice to finally see this feature. My previous was a 2014, and could never understand why only the driver door had auto up/down.

All at the same time or you have to individually push each button for auto down or up? My '13 venza has all windows auto up down, but each button has to be pressed separately.

Yep. I will often hit the fob to unlock my truck just to get something out of the bed as I’m walking out of the garage. Opening the tailgate does not prevent the truck from re-locking itself after 60 seconds (or however long it is). And when I shut the tailgate again, it’s locked, too.

I’m not sure what year this started, but I can also just grab one of the front door handles, and my truck will automatically unlock everything. To lock it up, just touch the front end of one of the front handles (there are sensors where the lines are on the front of the handle), and it will lock everything again.

Ive had the truck for 3 years. Just figured out the rear seat headrests fold down when they are extended all the way up. Makes cleaning the window easy now. The first time i discovered this there were two outlines on the rear window where the window has never been ckeaned

This is my 3rd tundra and 1st TRD pro. I learned my doors take a lot of force to fully close! My kids are too gentle with them and always have to close the doors multiple times!
