I recently bought a 2014 Tundra SR5 Double Cab with the 5.7liter. It has 65K miles. It is making a tweetie bird noise from the front of the engine. I have replaced the serpentine belt, idler pulley, and belt tensioner. While all of that was great fun, the noise remains! Any ideas? Thanks.

Just a thought regarding my personal experiences... Did you replace your belt w/a Toyota OE serpentine or some other brand? The reason I ask, is that a dealer replaced a belt on my '08 once due to some minor cracking (I was not having any noise issues at the time). I started the truck the next morning, and it was squealing like a stuck pig. Drove it the rest of the day and more of the same. The belt used w/obtained from a local parts store as the service was not anticipated. I remember that coming up because they told me the service was a little cheaper due to non Toyota part.

Took it back and insisted they replace the part w/an OE belt. I was told that wasn't the problem, but I insisted they order an OE belt and swap it out. They finally agreed, the part came in the next day, they swapped the part, and noise was immediately gone. Ending up talking w/another service advisor when I picked the truck up, and he said for some reason they frequently have noise issues w/non-Toyota belts on certain Tundras.

Good advice above. Tensioner/belt most likely. I understand yours are new, but if they are off brand, could be the issue. Could be alternator as well.

Did you replace both idler pulleys?

Thanks for all the input! I used all Dayco parts. I am not aware of a second idler pulley.

For me I took off the throttle body spacer and it took a high pitch noise away. Only became noticeable after installing a cold air filter
