I hated it too. LFG was a nightmare, and definitely not for me. Luckily, I found a group of guys who are all pretty like-minded, we all have kids so we're all able to play at about the same time. Really grew into some good friendships. The group grew quickly too. I'd say there are a few hundred of us that play different games. D2 is the most popular in the group, with about a hundred players.

    Quote of the day! LMAO

I hear you on the strangers thing. I was fortunate with the first game that I had a group of regular players to do the raids with. I have lots of great memories in Crota and VoG. Sadly none of them got into Destiny 2, so I never did the raids. But at least D2 had more for everybody.

Personally, I am a big fan of CS GO, the pros are team games, a competitive mode with an increase in my own rank. You can create a goal for yourself to reach the maximum, thereby it makes sense not just to waste time but to achieve the goal, fortunately or unfortunately there are enough ranks in this game. In addition, you can earn money with it, or trade cs:go skins using special platforms, or if you are an interesting person and it will be interesting to watch you, try to start your own channel on twitch or YouTube.

I saw a study the other day that said they all do. However, it was probably a study by the video game developers...

I like strategy games. They definitely keep you thinking. Games like X-Com and Civilization to name a couple. I don't know about develop, but they can be challenging.

There are also chess games and brain teaser games out there. For one, if you're on PC, the Windows store has a decent free chess game and a "Brain Games" collection, each with varying degrees of difficulty. Windows 7 also came with a great free chess game that I was addicted to, which I believe is still also available in the Windows Store somewhere.

So D2 has more SP content than 1 did? If so I'll try it.

I love me some xcom. I just started another new game while waiting patiently for xcom3.

For sure. There's way more stuff to do solo, and each season introduces new activities. Of course, a lot of them tend to be "go here and blow something up", but that's just Destiny for you. And you're able max out your light level and gear without having to run the raids. Unlike the first game I remember you were initially level-locked at 31 unless you did the raids. Of course the raids still do have unique goodies, but I never felt wanting for not having any of them as there are still some great weapons/gear that are attainable if you want to remain solo. There are of course a couple of those god-tier that requires a fire-team to obtain, and one of them is the best weapon in the game. But I never got it.

I might have to do the same to prep for XCom 3.

Anyone here play Forza Horizon 5? Looking for people to cruise with or do some off-roading/crawling. Unfortunately most of the online lobbies are filled with kids, takes forever to find mature people to play with.

And this is the reason I do not play FH5. LOL There are like one or two games I'll play online, but literally the first time some pre-teen calls me his b*tch and teabags me, I'm done. LOL

Yeah, this exchange happened with me on Forza a few months back. I'm assuming he was a French Canadian.

I haven't played in a few weeks. I'm waiting for them to release the DLC before I dive back in. I enjoyed the hell out of it for months but now I'm playing Destiny 2 (which I'm not very good at).

Ha ha, I gotta side with him on this one. I don't care for how he went about it but I get his frustration.

The unspoken etiquette in driving games is that you try to not touch other cars or use them as turning barriers when hitting a sharp turn. The only time hitting bumpers is allowed is if you are bump drafting. I'm not the greatest player myself and I do a lot of dive bombs in offline mode. I don't know how I'd handle myself in an online lobby for a straight up race. I think the only mode I ever play online in FH5 is Elimination, where hitting is encouraged, lol.

One of my apprentices on this job was talking about how he liked to troll people on RDR2 and GTA5 among other games. Little did he know I'm a gamer myself that hates trolls. Guess who's getting all the shit work now and stuck with the shitty journeyman? Who's the troll now bitch.

Yeah, most likely I misjudged a corner and he was right in front of me. I will use the ai cars as brakes though because it’s about the only way to get past them in “unbeatable” mode.

Dude never wrote me back - I had thought I made a new friend. :(

I was hoping you’d like that. The only time I ever tea-bagged somebody on Destiny 2 would have been when I was trying to revive them and pushed the wrong button. I’m usually too busy getting my ass handed to me to even think about doing something like that.

Yeah, no doubt. I do the same to the AI cars.

If it's one thing that makes FH5 confusing is the fact that it caters mostly to casual racers, so I would think people would care less about driving etiquettes. You'd think something like FM would be the place for competitive players.

Either way, I wouldn't fault you for that and definitely wouldn't send a message like that but it seems you like that kind of thing ;)

Same here - and yeah I thought it was hilarious. Being an IT guy working on an Army post as an Army/Navy veteran, having a good sense of humor is a requirement, otherwise life will just suck for ya. LOL

My wife bought some nasty blend of turmeric tea the other day. I spat it out and bitched about it for a few minutes. One might say I was tea bagging.

Dunno about Canada, but suffice to say time spent in France proved that wrong for me. As a buddy likes to say, "If you've ever a) drank a glass of wine and b) been insulted by a headwaiter, you've experienced France.

Not quite 100% accurate, but both of those occurred in France.

The naked Swedish chick in Cannes made up for it, though. :D
