No date yet; just moving toward thinking about it. Gotta get the conga line up and running.

What you running instead of trails? Do you mean, not make-believe-near-city trails?

He doesn’t even off-road. Hardest thing he does is south coast plaza traffic jams.

Patiently waiting for him to post his truck pics hahah

Lol. My thoughts exactly. But to invite newcomers who’ve never taken their trucks off-road, or have only done fire roads and don’t know what’s possible— and to reconnect with OG’s that now have a truck full of kids, and prefer closer, shorter runs, I’d be willing to drive up to Cleghorn. It’s is pretty hot though, might already be too late, and we gotta wait ‘til September…

It’s hard to rescue dumbasses without getting out of the cab to hook up the line though….

If we don’t have one dumbass need rescuing, that’s a sign we didn’t help anyone test capability, so… we gotta begin with the end in mind.

Also… a Cleghorn meet-up isn’t actually a trail run. It’s more of a meet and line up for truck pics and pet dogs and drool on babies kind of a thing. In a conga line. With 25+ trucks. And many, many bathroom breaks. More time out of the truck than in it. A whole different kinda $4!t show than you’d show up for.

This time of year, the desert isn’t friendly. Big Bear is a good bet, most trails up there are friendly.

Or… this Cleghorn trail is right off the 15, basically a fire road with obstacles on little pull-outs from the main trail— opt in or opt out of each— so trucks/drivers of all builds and abilities can play together. Not a camping type thing, but good for a half day (or longer when we do a Shenanigans $4!t Show… plus a meal together afterwards before we go out separate ways). It’s actually high enough elevation that it’s often cooler than Riverside below.

I am game for a Cleghorn run in the near future though, just need to sort out a few boo-boos on the truck. Only conflicting thing is I've got a weekend in July blocked off for camping in Julian.

I know through off-line communications with a couple of possible participants that many of us are booked in to July. And it’s a lot of freeway for me. I’ll love it if someone north of me is interested and takes the reins.

    hint, hint
