Does anyone know how to make this thing stop slamming on the brakes by itself when there is a carrier attached to the hitch?

I've turned off everything related to parking alerts and collision prevention systems but it keeps applying the brakes by itself no matter what.

Press PKSB button to the left of the steering wheel. It’s the upper right corner button. Looks like a car backing up to a cone.

Did that, also went through the entire car settings menu and turned everything off.

Is it something wrong with the truck?
Should that button had disabled that feature?

yes it should have. Do you see the same icon on your dash when you pushed the button? It will come on and should stay deactivated until you tell it not to. Works for me every time.

Yes, I could see the icon. It would beep alerting me of the object, and the camera would not come on, but it would still stop the truck.
I managed to get out off the parking spot I was in by pressing the gas slightly while keeping my other foot on the brake.

Ah that sucks, you should definitely speak with the dealer /service team as that shouldn't happen.especially if you've registered the trailer in the truck.

I will bring it up with the dealer, but I did not register the trailer in the car, there isn't an option to add a hitch carrier with no wheels. I'll post once I get an update.

Whoops, didn't realize we weren't taking about a trailer.

I have a bike rack on 95% of the time and have the sensors disabled so hopefully you get a resolution soon!

The funny thing is that not more that 2 weeks ago I took it to the dealer for recall regarding the possibility that the back cameras and sensors could stop working.
I guess they made sure they would never stopped working again. XD
