    Hi guys! New member here!
I couldn’t find the answer to my question online so I’m eager to read about your knowledge or experience in to this

So I currently own a 2010 CM SR5 5.7L 2WD in great condition with all the bells and whistles with 171k miles. I also own a 2008 DC 5.7L 4X4 lifted in good/fair condition but other than that pretty plain (no back up camera, no bedcover, no parking sensors or moonroof like the ‘10 CM has. Although a ‘08, it has less than 100k miles and it runs with more power than the ’10 CM. It definitely runs with more torque and hp. In an ideal world I’d keep both, but I don’t have use for more than 1 pick up truck so I’m thinking of selling the ‘08 DC and keep the ‘10.
But before selling the ‘08, is it possible to make a swap engine? Would this difference in performance be an engine or other problem like transmission or injectors or what?
Both have the same type of oil, same spark plugs, oil change made at similar times, etc.
So would you do an engine swap and how much do you think it’d cost? I’m located in San Antonio TX.
Thanks in advance for your help

Just a stab in the dark but is there a tow package on your ‘10? Tow package comes with 4:30 gears compared to 4:10. That might be the difference in power. Good luck. Sorry I can’t help more.

Man, leave them so your numbers match. There is a quantifiable reason the 4x4 has more pep in its step. I would find it highly highly highly unlikely the one with 171k is just "tired" because it has more miles. The simplest reason would be what @D4x4TRD said: the 4x4 has the tow package with the 4.30 rear end, and the other does not.

But hey, maybe you've got a supercharger and don't know it, lol.

You'll have the "tow/haul" button on the vertical center stack? Just saying...

Thanks @BlueCrushSC16 the ‘10 CM 2WD has the tow/haul button, the ’08 DC 4x4 im not quite sure, (I’m not at home right now) so the towing package would make it less strong or the other way around?
