Turn of power while in neutral?

I am probably missing something obvious, but I can't seem to turn off the main power and leave my truck in neutral. I want to be able to put the front spoiler down which requires the power to be off and if you turn power back on an shift to neutral it goes back up. If I stop engine in neutral it just tells me to shift to park to turn off power

 

Yah, you can't turn it off while its in neutral.

I thought you could put it in neutral and hold the start button and do an emergency shut off. Toyota enabled this behavior back when the Pruises were having uncontrolled acceleration from doubled up floor mats holding down the accelerator and people died because they couldn't actually shut the vehicle off to get it to stop

 

try hitting the start stop three times and see if it goes off

 

Yeah the video shows how to put it down, but truck won't let me turn off power in neutral and can't shift to neutral without power so dam goes back up.
I want to have truck in neutral with power off, and dam down so I can position it on my lift.
Is there any way around this?

These will stop the engine, but they don't turn the power off. Need the power off to drop the air dam.

 

take the battery cable off after shutting it off?

 

shut it off, put spoiler down, then use shifter interlock button to put in neutral

 

That may get what I need and I wasn't finding it.

Put the air dam down per instructions.
Climb under the beast and unplug the power connector for the air dam actuator.
Air dam will then remain down until you plug it back in.
Don't forget to plug it back in.
