Yesterday was a busy day hunting in Cali. This is what I was able to round up before sitting down for the WLW pour above.

I have 2 bottles of Garrison's Cowboy, one I bottled myself while volunteering at the distillery. I haven't cracked either bottle- YET!

    Cheers!

I actually REALLY like this. Perfect viscosity, sweet bourbon with citrus and vanilla up front. Finishes with some astringency and notes of leather, tobacco, and pepper. Definitely get the smokiness from the charred barrel at the end. Would definitely buy several bottles to save.

Looks like it would have a nice long finish. Is the smokiness peaty or more lingering cigar, and is it coming on more at the mid-palate or back of the throat???

As gas prices continue to climb, it's getting to be cheaper to enjoy quality whiskey than it is to 'go for a drive'... Enjoy!!!!

I had a bottle last year and liked it too, this was my favorite and have only seen it once. Was a fan of 1792 several years ago but not today, however being I like wheated bourbons is that worth a try?

Actually, yes - I'm not a fan of 1792 in general and tried this specifically because it's wheated. Has a very unique nose (forgive me, I'd give better tasting notes but had a few last night and recalling tasting details isn't going to happen). Flavor is good, finish is good but a little harsh compared to the front.

I'll pick this Bell Meade up again if/when I find it. I almost bought it in SC a couple of weeks ago, but a couple other bottles won out (limited what I can buy because I have to transport home in my luggage). Last week I found the Bell Meade again in TX and went for it. Wish I had purchased 2.

Not peaty - more like a distant campfire. Definitely mid-palate. Very pleasant.

You can tell there’s some age here and taste like vanilla and Carmel to me. Think carmel frap from Starbucks.

Special version I’ve never seen before. Worth the money spent. 100 at total wine.

    Indiana, Kentucky, tennesse blend

Ha! We do the same thing. Last year we did Disney World over the 4th of July and I had my "water bottle" ready at all times. This year we will do Disneyland for Halloween and will be sure to go prepared!

What days will you be there? For usbits the 25th - 27th.

Planning on doing the Halloween Party addon on the 26th.

It's nerdy but its a blast with the kids and these trips provide a lot of great and lasting memories. Plus day drinking. It's a win win!
