Added some EMI tape to the cargo and brake lights. Attempted to create a faraday cage to stop the Radio wave frequency issues of LED bulbs in these housings. So far it works very well and I actually seem to get a further activation of the lock and unlock for the truck. I previously had the special RF VLED bulbs but had to have one replaced within a span of 6 months due to the known error they had a while back. The replacement they sent me lasted another 6 months and gave up the other day. If the EMI tape continues to I might be able to put better and brighter lights in or not be restricted to special RF curated bulbs. This is not a knock against VLED I have many of their bulbs in my truck for almost 2 years with no issues and their customer service is very good. These RF curated bulbs just seem to be hit or miss with me (the other bulb that is still going strong is the original I purchased over a year ago so YMMV. to make sure the cage is working I have put standard VLED 5k in the cargo lights for now to check for any and all issues. Will update with night shots tonight.

I had the same issue with one of the RF bulbs. I am going to put my VLed high output bulbs back in (once I find where I put them) and just leave the cargo switch off or use the tape if it continues to work well for you.

Its a Dakota Lithium 12V 100AH with a REDARC dual input 25A in-vehicle DC battery charger. The battery will be hooked up at the solar on the AT Overland Summit,(will be getting installed in December) it will be running my Dometic fridge and charging any electric gear.

Is this a turnkey solution or something you "built?" Would like to find something like this that's turnkey--don't have time to screw with tinkering.

The vled Rf bulbs are terrible. Had mine for 3 months now and one is already dead. Many thanks for that link. I have some tape on the way.

So would the reverse light bulbs be ok to use, or will they also cause interference and I should look at a different option?

The reverse lights are good. The interference is because the receiver is up near the cargo lights.

Just got back from doing some errands and running around. I honestly forgot that I put the leds in there. Previously I had issues with it unlocking from the fob, and using the smart detection at the handle. I had zero issues after the tape was in. When I came home I ran it though more tests and the only thing that gave me even some slight trouble was when i was standing 50 ft directly behind the truck with two house doors in between myself and the truck. If the lights were on the first press of the lock button didn't work. But the second did. And the cargo lights go out shortly after unlocking the truck or it's shut and not locked. So you can still lock the truck with the second tap.

I did use more tape than the YouTube video I saw on this. And I feel it's definitely one of those where the more time effort and tape you put into this the better it'll turn out. Truthfully I wanted to wrap the other side of the lights (inside the truck) but don't wanna play with the headliner.

These provides auto up/down via driver side control for all 4 windows and/or individual window controls for the other 3. It doesn’t do the remote keyfob window close like the 3w.

The 3W Liner’s main control is the driver side window controller and has other features. Alot more wiring.

Night shots and impressions. I feel that none of the light output was affected in the third brake light (the most important) it's just as bright and well distributed as before. The other two have less runoff light over the sides so you see the rounded corners but still throw plenty of light into the bed. I'm pleased with it let me know what you think. 3BE16A57-9B45-47B2-BC81-D586387C57E0.jpg240166CB-1583-4DC8-A72B-DDA3AA23DCD8.jpg

Put Bilstein 5100s all around it, coachbuilder shims and Shackles and some 295/70/18 Discoverer AT3s.
Now I just need to find a good running board!

This is what I want the front end of mine to look like. Interested to hear how the grill insert paint holds up.
