I stopped to get gas and noticed this piece sitting on the driver side floor. Must've bumped it. The question is, where does it go?

Just another example of crap falling off and why to not buy the first model year after a drastic change.

@PapaDave418 I thought it was hit by a branch or something and that’s why it came off?

The front emblem is a snap fit, and I was driving 70mph which means the stick hit the truck at 70 mph. I don’t think it means the truck is falling apart. But I do think it makes for a great video!

Probably goes under your seat and provides a courtesy wire cover.

You think the seat is redesigned? Its a seat thats used in millions of other Toyotas/Lexus, if not more brands. Do you have any clue how car companies operate?

No need to justify not having the cool new truck :boink:

Man, all he did was ask where that part goes and now his life choices are being questioned.

Did you find where this piece goes? I found this same part on my floor boards, can't find where it fits under the seat. Googled the P/N, no results.

I thought the same thing but haven't found a spot for it. It's rubber rather than plastic too which is a little unusual for a wire cover, I'd expect that to be cheaper hard plastic.

No luck finding a place for it and also no luck searching that part online. Funny you found the same one! Maybe it's the source of the horrendous wind noise on that side of my truck LOL.

I don't have wind noise from the road, but I did just realize that my passenger side ventilated seat fan is much louder than my driver side... Might turn on the seat fan and see if I can identify that noise, and maybe it goes in there somewhere. Will update later this afternoon!

I just found where that piece goes. It attaches to the window trim at the rear corner of the front side windows.

The one in your hand is the passenger side. Look at the driver side window in the back corner and you can see the top of the rubber trim around the frame.

You have to remove the door panel to reinstall the trim piece

Yep that’s what it is. You beat me to it. The seal/belt molding on the inside of the front driver/passenger windows are 3 piece. The central belt mounding section and 2 end caps that form fit around the door itself. You can’t see the front one as it’s behind the panel that covers where the mirror is.
